Since most of you won’t read it, fine print: 2024 was a 9 yr low for @TheOpen ratings on NBC. 2022 (Cam/St Andrews), 21 (Morikawa/RSG), 18 (Molinari/Carnoustie), 17 (Spieth/Birkdale), 16 (Henrik/Phil/Troon) all rated better. 2019 was only 5% lower (Lowry/Portrush in a runaway).
NBC draws a little more than 4 million viewers for Scottie Scheffler’s dominant win at Portrush on Sunday (streaming included). That’s up big from 3.390M last year (Schauffele) and the best since 2022 at St Andrews
