There is a broader debate outside of bonfires that we need to have about what we are happy for all working-class areas to put up with. Would this honestly have been left without action for years in a more leafy area of the city? Probably not is the answer.
By Monday I guarantee we will not hear one story probing how a site was left unchecked for 8 years with highly dangerous exposed asbestos lying on it. The show will have moved on and a community, with a potential ticking health time bomb, Will once again be ignored
