Excited our final version of @tineisadora's work on targeted protein relocalization is out today @nature! Molecular control over protein localization could offer new opportunities for therapeutics and biological discovery. @Stanford_ChEMH @StanfordUChem nature.com/articles/s4158…
Incredibly proud of @tineisadora for defending her PhD work today (the first Banik lab PhD!). So lucky to have been a part of her journey!
Congratulations to @tineisadora, who defended her PhD today @StanfordUChem @Stanford_ChEMH ! 🥳 Amazing presentation on her work on TRAMs 🚊! A big day for @StevenMBanik as well, who will be graduating the first student to join his lab in just a few weeks! Yay Christine!!
Congratulations to @ales_salerno from @UoDCeTPD and @tineisadora from @Stanford who have been selected as awardees of our conference travel scholarships to attend the Keystone Proximity-Based Therapeutics conference!
Landmark preprint from @LyciaTx, first example of catalytic #LYTAC (cataLYTAC) design for potent and durable extracellular #TPD. Demonstrated with design of LYTAC that clears IgE in NHPs, excited to see this technology advance to the clinic 🎉
Our CataLYTAC research is live on @biorxivpreprint. CataLYTACs offer faster, deeper, and longer-lasting degradation of soluble targets, showing the power of catalytic protein degradation. Read more about this progress in extracellular therapies here: bit.ly/4fVB0UF
🚨NEW PUBLICATION ALERT🚨: In a paper out today in @ScienceMagazine we describe a way to build synthetic phosphorylation circuits with customizable sense-and-response functions in human cells. Check it out at science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…. 🧵1/n
Thanks for the invitation @georg_e_winter! Amazing to visit @CeMM_News and hear about exciting work happening!
We had the pleasure of hosting Steven Banik, Assistant Professor of @StanfordChem for an impromptu seminar organized by Georg Winter. Thank you for an inspiring talk on detecting and rewiring cellular interactomes and for spending the day with us at CeMM!
Thrilled to share our work on novo protein LYTAC(pLYTAC)/EndoTag in @nature! Using de novo protein design, we created endocytosis triggering binding proteins (EndoTags) to degrade extracellular targets and amplify receptor signaling. nature.com/articles/s4158…
.@StevenMBanik,@tineisadora & team devised a new class of molecules called TRAMs to convince natural shuttles to bring misplaced, disease-related proteins back to their homes. This could lead to new treatments for cancers and neurodegeneration stanford.io/3XRzVY9
Membrane curvature promotes ER-PM contacts in cardiomyocytes. Excited to share our work published in Nature Cell Biology today. Congratulations to Yang and the team! nature.com/articles/s4155…
Excited and honored to receive support from @OnoPharmaFound! Awesome to join this community of amazing chemical biologists.
The 2024 Ono Initiative Award is presented to @StevenMBanik, Matthew Shoulders, @scientistamy as noted. Congratulations! Steven Banik, PhD @StanfordUChem @Stanford_ChEMH Matthew Shoulders, PhD @ChemistryMIT Amy Weeks, PhD @UWBiochem onofound.org/news/ono-initi…
