I hope you will take a few minutes to listen to my inaugural address. It’s about the secret to Utah’s success and some special people you should know. If nothing else, you can make fun of mine and Abby’s amazing Jr. Prom photo 😬😂.

Late-night TV used to be about laughs — not lectures. @jayleno tells us why he never shared his political opinions on The Tonight Show, and why he thinks today’s hosts are losing half of America by doing so.
Enduring happiness is not the result of constant pleasure or achievement. It is the byproduct of ordering your life around the things that are worthy of your love. In my work and research, I’ve found that deep happiness most often arises from five sources: 1. Love: A commitment…
A friend of mine just mentioned that the elementary school library where she works got vandalized. They've got a very modest wish list on Amazon that I bet we could clear out pretty quickly. I got a few things for them. Want to join the fun? Link below.
“Corporations should just eat the cost” used to be a progressive fantasy that conservatives mocked. Now it’s Republican orthodoxy on tariffs. Conservatism but make it socialism.
MORNING JOE: Does the president realize that the consumer pays the tariffs? BESSENT: I'm gonna have to disagree with that. Who pays the tariffs is a choice. What we're seeing so far is that manufacturers are eating a substantial portion of the tariffs and taking it into their…
It's surprising, how many people are suprised by Milei's economic success. Free-market economics has always worked, when given a chance. I agree that the surprise is how politically savy he has been and how receptive the Argentinian people are to him reforms. Lots more work to…

Appalling if true. If it was wrong for the federal government to subsidize NPR and PBS — and it was — it would be 1000X worse for Washington to own #TikTok (or any social media platform).
U.S. COMMERCE SECRETARY LUTNICK SAID HE BELIEVES THE TIKTOK SALE WILL GO THROUGH AND THAT THE U.S. WILL END UP PURCHASING THE PLATFORM.
The new data is in: Divorce probabilities for couples who married more recently start out much lower. Estimates from Yifeng Wan @UVA: ifstudies.org/blog/no-longer…
Nearly 80% of married college-educated women in the U.S. can expect their marriages to last 20+ years. As divorce rates decline, that number may rise even further. @FamStudies: ifstudies.org/blog/the-us-di…
People who cheat on their spouses are more likely to cheat at work, too. Evidence: Marital infidelity predicts 2-3x greater odds of professional misconduct among CEOs, financial advisors, and police officers. Integrity is not a 9-5 job. Character counts in every part of life.
This is so dumb that university presidents with academic acumen should be embarrassed that this is the man that represents their academic institutions, yet he still used such a simple apples to oranges logical fallacy to make an irrelevant point. There aren’t 130 NFL teams.
Petitti is now defending the possibility of an 8-4 B1G team getting in to the CFP. "If you project that winning percentage across every other sport, I'm pretty sure you make the postseason. ... We've conditioned ourselves to think that if you're not a 1 or 2 loss team you're not…
Pioneer Day is tomorrow, but the celebration is already underway. From parades to rodeos, Utahns have long honored our founding by coming together. Catch the Days of '47 Rodeo through Saturday and celebrate the spirit that built this state.
I focused on anxiety/depression in Anglo countries. But @sapien_labs cast a broader net and finds much more extensive psychiatric harm linked to phone-based childhoods, globally. Earlier phone = lower mental health as young adult tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

Story time is good for kids, humans are story-telling animals. Good movies on a TV or large screen is good screen time. Short videos, watched alone on a touch screen, is bad screen time. It fragments attention I discuss this with People Magazine: people.com/anxious-genera…
Toyota is up +8% on the news of a 15% tariff. Why? It's simple. Ford, GM, Tesla, and all the other American manufacturers are going to be paying 50% more for their steel, 50% more for their copper, 25% more for their Canadian production, 25% more for their Mexican production,…
you wonder why there’s a housing shortage and then you see elected officials like this who see every new proposed housing unit as an opportunity to fund a dozen other social goals
That’s not the point. I support new housing in my district - but we also negotiate deeper affordability, union jobs, & significant investments in Parks and other infrastructure to meet needs of growing communities. This Commission has decided that shouldn’t happen any more.
She confuses “hard things” with “bad things.” But the best things are also the hardest things.
Who wants to tell @Aella_Girl? Increasingly, childless adults are the least happy Americans.
“Roughly two-thirds of economic historians surveyed rejected the proposition that the efforts of labor unions were the primary cause of the drop in work hours before the Great Depression.”
Unions bled and died for the 8 hour day. Just look at the massive 1886 strike led by the Knights of Labor, which ended in bloodshed.
