Well this is pretty exciting. 😊🙏 Thank you @DFB_storyhouse and @arvonfoundation @thebookseller @BoChildrensBook

People ask why I have a garden library. I worked in corporate tech jobs for years and had to baptise my soul after all those sterile, minimalist offices. I painted the door pink because why not. I write my books there and it’s the only office I ever want. 🧡😭🧿
A superb read, delivered with sensitivity, insight and respect, about living & dying. Explores the immense importance and value of talking openly, with professionalism, support & kindness, about death & dying instead of avoidance/euphemisms. Excellent on audio. @drkathrynmannix

What an astonishing and humbling book @doctor_oxford @LittleBrownUK. If anyone needs a manifesto for why our precious #NHS @NHSuk is worth fighting to protect, this is it. Huge respect to all in this incredible story. 🙌

What a brilliant interview between @RobGMacfarlane and @david_perell. Fascinating and insightful. #WritingCommunity youtube.com/live/rdsE9XqB2…
A glum-looking somebody stuck in our garden fence. 😬 A few taps with a hammer to loosen the bottom slat => Freedom! Happy days 😊 Best thing was the other sheep were all waiting by the hedge. As soon as this one was freed, they all moved into the neighbouring field. Community!

"Our call out to the industry is simple but urgent: consider indies when you are thinking about pre-orders." #IndieBookshopWeek
Getting the indies on your side can really extend the promotional life of a title, and allows for a wider range of titles and the potential for hidden gems to rise to the top, says Jasper Sutcliffe (@BRIXTON30) in our recent Comment piece 👇 thebookseller.com/comment/pushin…
13 Julys ago, I moved to the UK with two suitcases, one grumpy husband, and two years ‘highly skilled migrant’ visa stamped in my Turkish passport. Took me 10+ tech jobs and a burnout, but I did it. I wrote the book, I’m an author 🧡😭 (and my book has sold to 6 countries!)
The stellar and glorious @brudeluwrites @chickenhsebooks celebrating the launch of #LiviainRome at @EdinBookshop. Isn't it lush? Hearty congrats. 😊 Can't wait to read. 🤩😍🥳🍰📚

Nine years in the making! I started writing this story in 2016. Thank you @FaberChildrens & Thy Bui for creating these beautiful books 💛💛💛 #YABooks #SciFi #dystopian #UKYA
I don’t think I’ll ever get over this. I arrived in the UK in 2011 as a Turkish immigrant and went looking for a bookshop because it felt like home. I found Waterstones (Milton Keynes). I never imagined they’d one day share my book. Life is mad BUT so am I!!!🧡

Massive kudos to @Tanni_GT & @Sam_Kinghorn whose sell-out event at @BordersBookFest was particularly standout. So many interesting things covered – from realities/challenges of travelling with a wheelchair to training schedules, racing, discrimination, politics & so much more. 🙌

Bit late but just a wee post to say it was fantastic to be part of the brilliant @BordersBookFest. Programming was excellent - superb range of events for all ages and interests - and what a stunning spot. Chairing the Josh Silver event was tremendous. Brill audience and staff. 🙌🏻

Swimming into the weekend - and 2025 Independent Bookshop Week! - with another extraordinary new work from my father, Master Carver, David Robinson. Brave the downpours this weekend, and high-tail it to your local indy! #woodcarving #otterman #otters #naturewriting #Ingrained
