Hey authors, as a software developer, I’ve always had business/public liability insurance. Do authors need that too? I don’t want to pay for insurance if there’s no real reason. What do you all do?

I’ve had a sneak preview of this one - The Book of Heartbreak - and I am very glad Ova turned Microsoft down! It’s amazing and so is she
I always thought my biggest success was getting a job offer from Microsoft. But I turned it down and pursued writing instead. I did it in a second language, in a country I came to as an immigrant. Now that book has sold in six countries.

13 Julys ago, I moved to the UK with two suitcases, one grumpy husband, and two years ‘highly skilled migrant’ visa stamped in my Turkish passport. Took me 10+ tech jobs and a burnout, but I did it. I wrote the book, I’m an author 🧡😭 (and my book has sold to 6 countries!)

Last night I talked about how my grandma’s fear of death inspired my book. Her name was Hurriyet. She was Muslim and illiterate (no chance for a visa😅). Spent her last days crying, sure she’d go to hell. She’s why I wrote a funny afterlife,to make people less scared of dying😭
