🚨 Out today: The Prosperity Package written by the great @maxwell_marlow 🤝 A fair deal for taxpayers and the ultra high net worth individuals the UK needs to attract and retain 📈Commands strong support from the public - including Labour voters 👀 ukonward.com/reports/the-pr…
Meet @MrSimonDudley - he is minted. Over the last year, all his rich friends have left the UK. So, how do we get them back? Introducing the Prosperity Package 👇
The Prosperity Package via @thetimes👇
🧵 Wealth. Tax. Immigration. Billionaires. We polled 2,000 Brits and asked their opinions. First up, immigration is far too high according to the public 👇
Last week, Shadow CDL @alexburghart warned @ukonward about economic meltdown, widespread social unrest*, and political crisis. One of the three was proven true within hours. I fear the others will be soon, too. My @ConHome write up 🔗 👇 *the first politician to do so.

This is a really powerful piece from @CJAWorrall - a deep thinker whose journey from Labour to the Conservatives is interesting and important👇
From @CJAWorrall I didn’t leave the Labour Party because it changed. I left because it refused to conservativehome.com/2025/07/23/chr…
This is why we need The Prosperity Package👇 We can keep the Non Doms in the UK with a fair arrangement that works for everyone 💥 ukonward.com/reports/the-pr…
.@GoldmanSachs CEO @DavidSolomon with stark warning on London's "fragile" leadership position in global finance. Specifically on Non Dom: "If you create tax policy or incentives that push people away you harm your economy & don't drive revenue increases." podfollow.com/1817704682

Delighted to meet our new Shadow Housing Secretary @JamesCleverly today. @consyimby look forward to working with him to get Britain building again! #BuildBabyBuild
A superb appointment. @NeilDotObrien is the best policy mind in Parliament, bar none. Neil also gets where Conservatism needs to go - on human rights reform, the economy, immigration, education etc, he *really* gets it, and the party will keep changing.
EXC: Neil O’Brien Promoted to Shadow Cabinet in Policy Development Role order-order.com/2025/07/22/exc…
Proof of how housing has shot up the political agenda. Pre-Gove and DLUHC the MHCLG was fairly mid ranking/low profile brief, not where you put stars. Fact SoS/Shadow SoS now occupied by two of their respective parties biggest beasts shows they think it matters much more now.
NEW: James Cleverly will become as Shadow Secretary of State for Housing. Tories see this as a key role to take on Angela Rayner
"Tories need to remake the argument for conservatism and capitalism...and build more homes. They must also cut red tape to enable Britain to build vital infrastructure to inculcate a new generation of optimism" Very encouraging stuff from James last year 👇
NEW: James Cleverly will become as Shadow Secretary of State for Housing. Tories see this as a key role to take on Angela Rayner
Fantastic to see @JamesCleverly take on housing; one of our best communicators. He understands the need to build homes and get people out of their childhood bedrooms. He set out his position to @NextGenTories👇
Finally, we polled on immigration. Voters from across the political spectrum are now of the view that immigration is too high. However, the public are in favour of allowing a small amount of HNWIs in providing that they are net contributors. 5/5
There is also widespread support for forcing foreign investors to use private healthcare and schools as to ease the burden on public institutions. Two-thirds of voters support the measures and there is net support among voters from all parties. 4/5
Voters also seem to be broadly meritocratic, with all age groups and voters of all parties - apart from the Greens = agreeing that it is alright for our country to be unequal as long as people can find a good job and make a good living. 3/5
There is cross-party support for The @ukonward Prosperity Package at large and its components. There is widespread support for requiring foreign investors to invest a certain amount of money in critical UK sectors and for exempting them from global inheritance tax. 2/5
