How many times have we said, ‘We have written to the Labour Party or a Government Minister to no avail’? Yes lots of times. Well today a few of us met Baroness Smith of Malvern HofLords spokesperson for Women & Equalities. We met in her Office for nearly an hour.
Today would have been my dad’s 74th birthday. This season carries gravity. Father’s Day, his birthday, and the anniversary of his passing all fall within 60 days. For me, grief has no straight path. It revisits, reshapes, and rises when I least expect it. But alongside it…

It has a set of practical recommendations based on the extensive research to keep your EDI work effective. Do get in touch if you’d like to work with us to put it into effect. (Thanks Alice)

Exactly, Simon. There’s a huge amount of work to do in tackling barriers to employment for disabled persons, institutional racism and, as we’ve seen (with bells on) institutional misogyny. What is needed is leadership and implementation of the law, it’s not less, it’s better work
Your kind of diversity work would be helpful, unlike the infantile garbage that most of us are subjected to.
The underlying principle of EDI and the EA2010 are excellent its just that a complete lack of regulation of 'trainers' and abdication of responsibility by boards has resulted in a collapse in standards. Illegal policies should never EVER have been adopted. Its that simple.
Ob the whole mist people support great diversity bc work and efforts but the madness like nhs fife is doing so much damage to good work
People should indeed be working to ensure that services and opportunities are open to all equally. It's a shame when work which genuinely does that is discredited by the catastrophically unprofessional and short-sighted actions of some. NHS Fife has done so much harm.
There’d be a solid body of support for a “Leave large parts of yourself at home” (EVERYBODY) movement now, I reckon.
A true definition of what a goddess looks like 🖤🇸🇸❤️
I hope so… so come along

When we talk about Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in health and care services it is issues like this 👇 we need to be shifting the dial on

Norman Tebbit died and I wondered if I could work with someone I so wholeheartedly disagreed with...most of his views appalled me, but shouldn’t we try to find the good along with the bad in ourselves and others? I posted on Linked In shorturl.at/oDB5p
