On July 25, 1988, Deputy Clark Harold Henry was patrolling in north Harris County when he collided with another car. He died as a result of his injuries. He was 64 years old at the time of his death and the 20th deputy to die in the line of duty. Gone but never forgotten.

HCSO_K9 explosives detection canine teams traveled to OKC to participate in the 2025 national Odor Recognition Test administered by the ATF. Our teams pass certification, and are constantly training to keep our citizens safe and prevent future bombing incidents.

Our Dispatch team at Harris County made a trip out to Kerr County Sheriffs Department and Kerrville Police Department to provide loads of snacks, activity bags and self care items. Showing our support to them during the flood recovery efforts

Thanks to an auction house for doing the right thing and calling us to report a gun that was in a car that was due for auction. Once deputies arrived turns out their were multiple guns and magazines. @HCSOTexas @SheriffEd_HCSO

🚛 HCSO delivered five truckloads of relief to Kerr County following the devastating floods. “We stepped up to help our fellow Texans—& our community delivered,” said @SheriffEd_HCSO. Over 100 pallets of supplies made their way to Kerr County. Thank you, Harris County!

Final Update - 12:00 PM: Citizen Advisory: The City of Deer Park's air monitoring contractor, CTEH, has concluded its air monitoring efforts as of 11:30 AM, with no hazardous readings detected at any point this morning within Deer Park city limits. (1/3)

Citizen Advisory: Tidal Road and the Highway 225 frontage road are now open. The City of Deer Park is continuing to conduct air monitoring through CTEH. Various petrochemical companies along the Tidal Road and Highway 225 are also conducting (1/2)

Close to collapsing the perimeter. Air quality is at safe levels at this time. No threat to the work sites or community has been identified.

Wind speeds in the southwest direction, ranging from 2 to 4 mph, indicate that there is no suspected threat to residents. The City of Deer Park is actively gathering more information. Please continue to monitor Deer Park OEM for updates regarding this incident. (2/2)
