Participants in ServeDC's Summer Youth Emergency Preparedness Academy (SYEPA) toured the DC Fire and EMS Training Academy. This year's cohort got a firsthand look at how our first responders operate and learned valuable lessons about emergency response and public safety.




Our annual Summer Youth Emergency Preparedness Academy (SYEPA) is now in full swing! Over the next five weeks, these young people will receive vital training in CPR/AED, First Aid, and administering Narcan which will equip them with essential life-saving skills.

DC is currently under a tornado watch until midnight. Be aware and monitor for weather updates.
Another Tornado Watch has been issued for locations east of the previous one. This one is in effect through midnight. Also, Garrett, Allegany, and Mineral counties were added to the other Tornado Watch area. A couple tornadoes are possible through this afternoon & evening.
