I grew up reading “boy” books and watching movies/TV with primarily white protagonists but I didn’t struggle to relate to them, and I think it’s probably counterproductive on a societal level to conceptualize yourself as inherently different from other people due to race
Maybe it’s just me, maybe it’s because I’m a Black Woman, but this movie didn’t hit that deeply for me. Felt like it was mainly a movie for white women idk.
