Delighted to attend and present at #RNATx2024 @RTI_UMassChan our work on tRNA derived small RNAs and their role in kidney disease, led by @GuopingLi2 with many collaborators. Some robust discussion on defining mechanisms and designing therapeutics.
Lab transitions/graduations: sad and happy at the same time. Guoping Li: congratulations on Assistant Prof position at MGB/HMS; Michail Spanos: Physician-scientist residency at Jacoby/Sinai; Olivia Whitaker/Lingfei Sun: MD/and or MPH! @mghcvrc
A lot of fun to visit Jose Huizar, Fadi Salloum @VCUHealth to talk about translation of basic discovery to human studies led by @ThryvTrx and our work on cardiac specific EVs led by @Michail_Spanos_ @PriyankaGokuln and @GuopingLi2
The study was possible with funding from @AmericanHeart and @nih_nhlbi. Work done collaboratively with @mghcvrc @TGen and @VUMChealth. First study to show mapping of EV transcripts to single nuclear RNAseq atlas. ahajournals.org/eprint/KAIQX6T…
How can one non-invasively sample the transcriptome of organs like the heart. Our study now published in @CircAHA shows the mapping of differentially expressed transcripts in HFpEF and HFrEF mapping to different cardiac cell-types. ahajournals.org/eprint/KAIQX6T…
4 years of hard work led by Dr. Guoping Li to develop tools to manipulate tDR expression and careful studies to understand the mechanistic link between tDR and cellular response to injury. Now poised as possible new therapeutics! @GuopingLi2 @mghcvrc
Our work on the discovery of cardiac specific EVs and analysis of their cargo RNAs as representative of cardiomyocyte disease pathways was well received at the GRC-EV conference. #GRCconference, @mghcvrc
So cool to have amazing summer students and interns from across the world and the US work with us to get a good sense of research in the clinical/translational arena. Meaningful contributions to several projects. @mghcvrc

RNA therapeutics and gene/RNA editing will allow for truly personalized approaches to therapy. Important for patient voices and what matters for outcomes to be heard by regulators and scientists alike.
Lab members and families out for summer celebration of transitions, successes (papers, talks). Lots to celebrate.

tRNA-derived small RNAs have burst in the scene as novel mediators of cellular stress responses. Was a pleasure to present some of our work on Asp-GTC-3'-tDR playing a role in RNA autophagy in kidney cells at the RNA therapeutics conference @cityofhope
Our new study in collaboration with Abbott showcases the potential of adding plasma miRNA biomarkers to traditional protein biomarkers. Effect sizes still small, but point to interesting pathways. doi.org/10.1002/ehf2.1…
Congratulations to Marta Garcia Contreras from our group for being selected as a Rising Star at the NIA conference on biomarkers of stress and resilience. Microglial EVs may reflect disease state in neuroinflammation! @mghcvrc @NIHAging
Pleasure to present our work. Hopefully tissue specific EVs will improve the diagnostic yield of EV biomarkers; specificity of antibodies remains a challenge down the road.
Only in #AAEV23! Exploring the novel field of tissue-specific EV-RNAs with Dr. Saumya Das @SaumyaDas_Lab from @MGHHeartHealth @MGHMedicine @mghcvrc /@harvardmed . A deep dive into how these probes can revolutionize our understanding of disease states and pathways. 🧬🔍 @AAEV_org
Really great forum from the historical perspective to the role of NIH-driven funding (Common Fund) to the publication landscape. @NIH_CommonFund
#AAEV2023 Day 2! Join us for the forum session: Advancing EV Research. with Dr. Raghu Kalluri, Dr. Michael Graner, Dr. Patricia Labosky and Dr. Ke Cheng. @KalluriLab @KeChengLab Registration is still available online and onsite: eventbee.com/v/aaev23#/tick…
A big goal for AAEV is to promote trainees and provide a forum for networking. Great to see @SNEVresearch at the meeting!
It is wonderful to see @SNEVresearch leadership at #AAEV2024, working hard to create awareness and support the EV trainee community. ⭐️SNEV powerhouse scientists and leaders⭐️: @SaraCavallaro10, @kapoor_kshipra and @sciencysara!
Amazing turn out and fantastic talks on Day 1.
Pleasant surprise: beautiful weather in Boston! What an amazing kick off to #AAEV23 Drs Raghu Kalluri @SaumyaDas_Lab @KeChengLab @AAEV_org
AAEV 2023 finally off the ground with a bang! Amazing talks on single vesicle imaging and tools to capture with plasmonics! @mghcvrc @AAEV_org
Dr. Tijana Jovanovic-Talisman from @cityofhope explains how to harness the SEVEN platform technology to visualize and characterize #EVs in health and disease! Find the research here: doi.org/10.1002/jev2.1… @AAEV_org @SaumyaDas_Lab
