Pet peeve: When something is labeled as “defies physics” or similar. Nothing defies physics. If it occurs, by definition it obeys the laws of physics…it just means our understanding of what those laws are has fallen short. </PedantRant>

Has anyone else noticed when you run Claude in the browser it slows down the whole computer and that tab uses a lot of RAM (2gb+)? Because I have. Almost seems like they're offloading processing to the local CPU/GPU like sketchy cryptominers do.
This is stupid. By this measure the vast majority of humanity wouldn’t qualify as general intelligence, why should AI be held to such a ridiculous bar?
My bar for AGI is an AI winning a Nobel Prize for a new theory it originated.
