I pay the premium, I pay the deductible. I pay the co-ins. The drs contract with the ins for how much a service costs. Whatever is over that amount they have tacked on. I shouldn’t have to pay it. I have ins. They agreed to a price the ins will pay. That should be the end of it.
My daughter recently had an ear infection. Took her to the doctor, who prescribed an antibiotic. That doctor visit cost $244. My insurance covered $60, so we owe $184 out of pocket. I pay $556/month for family health insurance. Something seems broken.
