A very disturbing & concerning potential scenario for agriculture in particular within NW Europe (including UK) - sudden AMOC collapse, although unlikely, now even appears to be considered a possibility in the next few decades...
A few years ago the chances of the AMOC shutting down were considered to be tiny this century. It appears opinion is changing.

Pollen beetle are about, but it's only just warm enough to be a risk to #osr at green bud. 1. Check the migration risk on @IpmDecisions platform.ipmdecisions.net 2. If the risk is high AND osr at green bud, use the @TheAHDB pollen beetle threshold @ADASGroup @SachaWhiteIPM
It’s not too late to assess CSFB larval numbers in your crop. Might give a useful indication of adult pressure this autumn. Done with little more than a bucket and chicken wire youtube.com/watch?v=M26Lx1… Let us know what you find @AHDB_Cereals
Looking forward to this IPMNET event farmpep.net/event/ipmnet-c…

Great morning out recording content on IPM practices to reduce CSFB risk on farm 📽🎬 The content is based on findings from recent @AHDB_Cereals funded CSFB projects and will be released on our website in the near future. Watch this space 👀
Our Suffolk site continues to have the highest cumulative number of CSFB caught in both ground and raised traps but the Kent and Cambridgeshire sites are following closely behind! For regular updates visit ahdb.org.uk/csfb @AHDB_Cereals
