He could have kept it had it only cost $40 million or less to show a bunch of guys sitting around talking.
Canceling "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" shatters a tangible demonstration of nuanced thinking, free speech and philosophical complexity (via @opinion) bloomberg.com/opinion/articl…
No, it is because the over whelming majority of the homeless are addicts and or severely mentally ill. Pretending otherwise prevents actually helping homeless people.
A reminder: framing homelessness as a problem of mental illness or addiction has been politically manufactured to divert attention from its *actual* causes—skyrocketing rents, poverty wages, gutted social supports—and to justify the removal of homeless people from public space.
Literally every single liberal media outlet is dying after USAID funding was cut. All of them. All at once. @DataRepublican I’m so proud of you for putting a spotlight on this. I’m convinced without you, we would have never known the truth about many NGOs. Thank you ❤️
Not the Cultural Revolution. Worst brand ever.
#Chinesebrands have captured the world's attention. 💗Tell us: What is your favorite?
That fork has since been stuck in the Democratic Party.
Trump promised to lower costs on day one of his administration. It only took 180+ days for him to pass a budget bill that will increase grocery costs, energy bills, and health care premiums! So, you’re telling me he lied? Fork found in kitchen.
Very good. Proving they didn't need taxpayer support.
scoop: donations to NPR and PBS stations have exploded, with donors across the country giving in unprecedented numbers since Congress cut federal funding nytimes.com/2025/07/24/bus…
I totally understand why you wouldn't want to talk about California. Like how George Clooney doesn't say much about playing Batman...
In Donald Trump’s America, if you disagree — you are silenced. Shameful.
Would have been more compelling argument with a real world example like Willowbrook. Still means that you assume health care has not changed in 50 years.
Returning to the world of One Flew Over The Cukoos Nest is NOT a good idea.
Only very small businesses and community service nonprofits pay minimum wage. That's who suffers if you raise it. Fast food pays $15 plus an hour most places now.
Today marks 16 years since the last increase to the federal minimum wage. That’s right, minimum wage is STILL $7.25 an hour. Nobody can survive, let alone thrive, on $7.25 an hour. Hard work should be enough to put food on the table and build a better future. In NM, we’ve fought…
So moving USDA leadership closer to farms nationwide is a bad idea? There is, honestly, zero good reason to have it in DC.
Administration just put out half-baked plan to cut USDA into 6 pie 🥧 pieces (15,000 staff already quit/fired) to MO, IN, CO, NC, &Utah, & what remains in DC. This will decimate research etc just as farmers are walloped by tariffs. Calling for public oversight hearing next week.
My great grandfather started by digging ditches for the State Road when he came in 1915. He ended up owning his own coal company. Go home, you ungrateful entitled wench.
Rep. Mana Abdi (D) says that moving here from Somalia "was bootcamp", slams the housing provided
Locals will reward it with an appropriately hilarious nickname
The Obama library looks like a third world attempt at building a skyscraper using scrap from the dump. Wow what a hilarious eyesore
Just admit Trump's move here in more compassionate than using jail or the streets to house the homeless mentally ill and addicted. It's okay. You can still hate Trump if you want.

Just like our parents, you'd be surprised where we go and what we do in a day when you all aren't paying attention. Right now, we are holding down two or three jobs a piece in vital fields because young people won't work. Then we go home and care for our elderly parents.
Gen X disproves this hypothesis! If it simply is a question of being born in the right time and place, then Gen X should have accomplished at least one thing their entire lives, but they haven’t. They’re nobodies. Street trash. Gutter rats.
Rarely say this because it's just gauche to mention one's degrees, but I have a PhD in history, taught college 11 yrs, worked 3 yrs each teaching for @NJC_YAF and then staff for Rep. Mooney. I have a very well-developed gut instinct. None of it made sense, so I did not believe it
Hey long-time Trump supporters… …how did you handle the media lying about him, every single day, for a decade?!
They hated Led Zeppelin, too. They can't even be trusted with music.
If you read any articles in The Rolling Stone, ignore them. I can testify first hand that they lied about my daughter @DataRepublican plus they were the first major publication to doxx her. If you quote them as a source, you would be totally buying into their lies.
Change the topic slightly and they sound like retarded versions of John C. Calhoun 200 years ago
“What do you guys think about Hitler?” Listen to the answers here It’s unbelievable that this is the level of rhetoric in 2025 But here we are Note this is @MyronGainesX’s podcast
Dear big cities, especially DC. This is what great public art looks like. Not shock value crap or absract garbage, but something uplifting, attractive, and maybe even fun.

All it needs is Tim Walz.
Jon Stewart’s rebuttal to CBS canceling “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” is every bit as cringey and terrible as you would expect it to be.
As someone who holds an advanced degree and has spent quite a bit of time in academia, this I can say. I wouldn't want the average academic in charge of a lemonade stand.
