Both Southend and Westcliff libraries now have a copy of our 'Roots & All' book, so if you fancy a change to Shakespeare when next there then give it a whirl. You'll laugh, sob, and cheer when reading it tho, so you might get told to 'shhhhh'.

Classy work from our Dave, and a reminder that he can turn his hand to work re any club and not just that one at Roots. If you want to sort a unique present for friends or family then just get in touch with him. Sorted.

TRULY THE END OF AN ERA. We have just received the sad news that our oldest player, 95-year-old Eric Marsden, & who had been the last player alive who had played at our Grainger Road ground before our move to Roots Hall in 1955, died on 15 July. RIP Eric, forever a Shrimper💙

We have been in touch with Dave during his book writing and are delighted to know that it will be available soon. We hope to get Dave down to Roots again once the new season starts, armed with plenty of copies of his book which we know will be a great read.

It's a warm welcome to SUEPA to our latest recruit, Danny Waldron. Danny joined us from Rushall Olympic 18 months ago and made 30 apps for us scoring three times. He now starts the 25/26 season with Brackley Town - so we look forward to seeing him back at Roots next season.
