It would be nice, but government regulations probably would make this impossible. Toyota makes a $12k pickup that it can't sell here.
Someone in America needs to make a retro style budget friendly $10k car. Bypass dealerships. Sell online. Low tech. High reliability. Easy to maintain & service anywhere.
Enjoy the little break from the heat we're getting because the worst heat wave of the summer will get underway Friday across SC. Dangerous heat will affect most of SC Sunday through at least Wednesday, with highs at or above 100° along the I-20 Corridor. It'll be pretty hot in…

GASP a 59 dewpoint
It's been a minute since we saw a 63 dewpoint in Columbia. I'm not gonna go look it up to see how long it's been, but it's been a while. Enjoy it while it lasts because it won't. The humidity returns tomorrow and we're likely to see the hottest days of the summer this weekend.

That too...much KAPOOYAH KAPOOYAH with this line of storms
Let’s play a game of “was that thunder or did an F-16 just pickle some 2,000lb JDAM’s?” #scwx
Can confirm it's been raining the proverbial cats and dogs at my place and these radar rainfall estimates are quite reasonable.

I got an ugly storm moving in, coming from almost the opposite direction as usual.

This is probably how I'd issue a Heat Adivsory if I worked for the NWS.
I must advise you of something. It's hot. In fact, it's so hot that we've issued an advisory to advise you that it's hot. It's called a Heat Advisory because we're very creative around here. I'm also advising you that it'll be hot again tomorrow. Consider yourself doubly advised
WOW!!! Check out this quick downburst that just moved over Charlotte caught by our sky cam!
Locally damaging winds are a concern with any thunderstorm through this evening with the highest risk across the Lowcountry.

Interesting little feature over Myrtle Beach this afternoon. This was around 2:16 pm. There was a hint of broad rotation at the time, and this pattern of southward moving storms interacting with the sea breeze has been known to cause to some mischief. Anyone else seen…
Columbia's high was 99° yesterday and it only dropped to 80° this morning. It managed to get to 95° today before storms erupted. We can use the coming break from the heat!
