🚨Some GOP members on Rules didn’t want to vote on Epstein amendments tonight amid Dem pressure — and felt leadership didn’t have a solution in place despite talking through several options today, per sources so current plan is no rule this week - a HUGE blow to GOP leaders who…
For those not on Capitol Hill, this is a House GOP debacle. They are so scared of votes re: Epstein that they will punt most of this week's legislative schedule and start their summer break early.
Two GOP members of the House Rules Committee told us no rule will be produced for bills this week, all because the GOP can't figure out a path forward on Epstein
The Rules Committee decides what gets voted on in the House. It’s where Republicans have already voted six times against forcing the release of the Epstein files. Now, they’ve shut the committee down just to avoid another vote. They’d rather shut down Congress than vote to…
“We’re done in Rules Committee until September.”
HOUSE EPSTEIN CHAOS: The House Rules Committee, now in recess, is now expected to NOT return to report out a rule to tee up planed bills this week out of concerns that Democrats on the committee are going to keep forcing Epstein related votes more tk w @mychaelschnell

This is not enough. Keep the pressure up. Here's my response to the President:
President Trump—we are ready to move the court tomorrow to unseal the grand jury transcripts.
If you watch one thing today make sure it’s this clip of @RoKhanna
Why are Republicans hiding from a vote to release the Epstein files? With @RepRoKhanna
Trump's Republican Party wants Millions to go without: - Healthcare - Food - Life-saving Aid - NPR and PBS
Republicans spent all day writing a glorified press release to cover for a child sex abuser. What they ended up writing is a phony, non-binding resolution that does nothing. I moved to make it real and release the Epstein files. Every Republican voted no. Again.
🚨Republicans’ Epstein resolution is a smokescreen. A big nothing-burger. A glorified press release.
🚨HOUSE REPUBLICANS Epstein resolution. An HRes. No legal weight.
After hours of waiting around, the Committee will finally meet at 6:00pm on the Senate's amendemnt to H.R. 4— an awful bill that would gut public broadcasting, international aide, and essential global health programs. 📺 WATCH ➡️ youtube.com/watch?v=FcXZdf…

Have Republicans not been listening at all? People aren’t stupid—they want action. Either Republicans take a vote to release the files, or they don’t. A vote for a glorified press release is a vote to bury the Epstein files forever.
🚨🚨NEWS -- SPEAKER MIKE JOHNSON and his leadership team are discussing offering an EPSTEIN-related resolution to try to quell the furor of members of the House Rules Committee. Resolution would almost certainly be non-binding. Dems keep offering Epstein related amendments in…
Respectfully, @RepLuna, this is not accurate. If you pull up the “previous question” language in tomorrow’s congressional record you will find the following, which you voted against:
The House GOP conference as a whole did not vote to block the release of the Epstein files. There was a procedural vote that, if failed, would have given Democrats control of the House. If you pull up the “previous question” language you will not find anything re: Epstein.…
HAPPENING NOW: A floor vote to require debate on whether the Trump Administration should release the Epstein files. A *YES* blocks us from even debating the Epstein files—protecting child sex abusers. A *NO* allows a debate and a vote on the files. Where will the chips fall?
Scanlon: Why would they try to prevent the truth about Epstein's abuse and those he enabled from coming out? That's anybody's guess. But with this previous question the entire Republican conference has the opportunity to correct that mistake. They can vote today to release the…
We will get our first up or down vote on the Epstein release today. I am about to speak on the House floor. We will not stop until the Epstein files are released.
🚨It's official: @HouseDemocrats are about to force a floor vote TODAY on releasing the EPSTEIN FILES.🚨 @RepMGS is going to offer a motion that will trigger an up or down vote on @RepRoKhanna's amendment to preserve and release records related to Jeffrey Epstein.

Rules Cmte voted tonight against allowing House floor debate and a vote on Rep. Ro Khanna's amendment requiring Attorney General Bondi to preserve & release any records related to Jeffrey Epstein. Amdt. was defeated 5-7 with Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) voting Yes with all Democrats.
House Republicans block Democratic maneuver to force release of Epstein files trib.al/CWQq4HL
Rules voted 5-7 to deny my amendment calling for a FULL release of the Epstein file a vote in the House. Republican @RepRalphNorman showed courage, voting yes. @chiproytx missed but I hope supports this. @RepMcGovern led all 4 Dems to vote yes.
BREAKING: Representative Ro Khanna has released an amendment to demand the release of the Epstein files, and will attempt to have politicians vote on it tomorrow.
