Happy to announce that our paper is now published in Science Advances! science.org/doi/10.1126/sc… Some clarifications below about what is and isn’t new about this work:
NEW PREPRINT! 🚨 Social cognitive regions of human association cortex are selectively connected to the amygdala biorxiv.org/content/10.110… We studied two parallel distributed networks within the canonical default network (DN) in individuals using 7T fMRI.
I gave a talk this weekend at the Mensa Annual Gathering on how the amygdala helps shape not just our behaviours—but also our thoughts, through its interactions with the default network 🧠 Thanks to everyone who came and asked great questions! @MensaInternatl @AmericanMensa

Donald Trump cut funding for cancer research by 31% in the first three months of his term. This is an attack on every American family who has loved someone with cancer.

New preprint! My major project from my postdoc is finally out. Check out our study using precision fMRI to explore mental imagery and self-generated mental states, and the brain systems that support these processes! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Excited to announce the release of a new first-author preprint showing that functional connectivity can separate auditory cortex from the multi-sensory language network. 🧠🔤 Thanks to my coauthors @rementurus and @RodBraga!
🔈 New preprint! 🔈 Intrinsic functional connectivity delineates transmodal language functions
Excited to share my most recent work with @SalvoJoe and @RodBraga on the transmodal language network, defined using functional connectivity and multiple different tasks. Take a look!

This paper is not that well cited, but still one of my favorite papers showing that resting-state correlations (aka functional connectivity) is biologically meaningful. (I am not an author)
