We're worst in Europe at greenhouse emissions per person. We could be the best and must be the best for a better, more balanced & fairer world for all.

Ethnic cleansing & genocide. Now so evil it’s said aloud. If it was happening in New York City or London or Berlin or Dublin it would be stopped. But because of racism and a love of lobbyists / lack of backbone, it’s allowed. ‘What did you do when a people were wiped out?’
“Thank God, we are wiping out this evil. All Gaza will be Jewish" Israeli Heritage Minister Amichay Eliyahu said that the government is “racing ahead for Gaza to be wiped out” pulse.ly/rx0isvuqut
This is the best ever true news BBC ever made about Israel, 4 minutes but every minute is extremely important
Should a young Australia couple who are both working full time, who never have a hope of affording the median house in their city pay taxes to fund the pension of a couple with $480k in cash and a $3m house? Discuss
Irish towns would and could never look so nice as councillors & planners would kill this.
Let’s build 5-over-1s that look and feel like this.

Now that’s engagement! Carrick has one of biggest potentials as a town in south east. This site is a catalyst but fix vacant street as part of regen. Glanbia owns the large vacant home. Zero first time newbuild buyer in 24 months means huge demand. m.independent.ie/regionals/tipp…
No taxes on vacant. ‘Can’t find them.’ ‘Can’t collect the taxes.’ Haven’t then money to invest in prevention of homelessness like Finland did. But there is a lot of money being made by those taking advantage of those hiding behind ‘market principles’ that ‘the market fixes…
Ireland's housing system is in a state of disrepair, primarily due to ineffective government policies. By the end of June 2025, a monthly record of 15,915 people—including 4,958 children—were accessing emergency homeless accommodation. My graphic highlights the derelict and…
There will about 21.000 homeless by 2030. It’s now the must lucrative ‘asset yield per m2’ for those with cash. It’s caused by poor planning and an undersupply of finance. And it’s cash and finance that set policy; not data. At least not in Ireland. It’s also solvable.
How to wreck planners and racists and small minds who hide behind ‘lacking in capacity / lacking in (insert can’t be arsed reason as I’m alright and sat on a bunch of cash.’) Ireland just full of status quo mindset scared to have any bit of vision and a few racists.

Great to see ISIF, councils and state bodies unlocking developments. 999 year leases. irishexaminer.com/news/munster/a…
Gouging by state and semi state bodies continue. ESB doesn’t need to make an €800m a yr dividend during a surplus. Dublin doesn’t need it as lower €:€ from state spending than when left in pockets to grow retail / invest in renewables. ‘Dopes do policy’ 101.
ESB ecars announced today prices will increase by €0.07/kWh across the board from July 30th.

That’s an immense return on social capital. Unlock 200 homes with €2.1m. I mean, why bring properties back into use in regional & rural Ireland, when €20bn can be wasted on a Metro 90% of the country won’t use..
Over 300 derelict properties across Galway set to be turned into homes as funding of €2.1m approved independent.ie/regionals/galw… #vacanthomes #grant
Really great piece here. Spending continues to exceed job growth. No productivity. No value for money. Too much on short term, too little on capital (particularly), far too much HSE waste. Not enough into renewables and stimulating supply (+25% doesn’t get to 100k a year).

Interesting one for energy nerds. A successful pilot has matched renewable generated electricity with energy consumption on an hourly basis. It shows a new system for real l-time traded green energy certificates is possible, which would combat greenwashing businesspost.ie/esg-energy/inn…
If adding housing supply to existing neighborhoods lowered prices, as many contend, Vancouver should have North America's lowest prices. It has the highest.
…That is all that is being said. It is important because it undercuts the argument that home prices are high because zoning restricts housing supply. Vancouver added more housing to existing neighborhoods than any other center city.
