For so many musculoskeletal conditions, to me, it makes so much more sense to bypass primary care and surgical specialties and simply go right to a physical therapist. Does not seem to be a very controversial opinion any longer to me.

The resistance about PAs from some doctors is sold as a patient safety issue. Really a lot of it is a superiority/power issue This is extremely poor taste
We need to change the name of ICATS/MCATS services etc... as it doesn't mean anything to patients and confuses people. Can we rename these services to the musculoskeletal team across the board.

In the current 2015 scheme almost no one will be retiring on 6 figure pensions. It's already been overhauled. Those retiring now will have been part of the very generous 1995 or 2008 schemes. Degrade the NHS pension again and you'll get strikes. telegraph.co.uk/money/pensions…
