Absolutely not. Children should not be voting, they’re not stakeholders, ergo don’t need to have a say. Having taught 16/17 year olds, some of them still struggle to know who the Prime Minister is and what MPs are.

Seeing teachers counting how many days they have left. Remember when you’re doing your countdown that some children find holidays hard and need the safety, calm and routine of school. Some children will be emotionally wobbling this week…look out for them. #schoolholidays
It’s really beyond me why this is such an issue… we’re not sending kids down mines or up chimneys. Lining up, having the correct uniform and bringing a pencil case is really not that challenging?! My 3 year old could manage this.
A friends child had their transition day to secondary this week. She was taught to line up on the first blow of a whistle, uniform check on the second whistle and arm up, holding the pencil case in the air on the third whistle! Is this going to be the best years of her life? 😡😡
