Congressman Eugene Vindman
@RepVindman
Father, Husband, Veteran | Congressman proudly representing Virginia’s Seventh District
Our democracy works best when people are engaged. Last evening, we held our first in person town hall. Thank you to the over 450 folks who made time to ask questions, share stories, and advocate for their communities. I will always fight for you.

The House GOP and @SpeakerJohnson sent Congress home early to avoid voting to release the Epstein files. The American people will not forget their government playing them for fools. Release the files.
This week, I spoke with more than 7,500 Virginians on my latest telephone town hall. Folks are angry — and rightfully so — about Trump’s budget that will slash Medicaid and SNAP. I’ll keep standing up for families and the programs that keep them afloat.
I sent a letter to the Trump Admin condemning its efforts to undermine higher education in Virginia. Trying to oust @GeorgeMasonU President Gregory Washington is clear government overreach and a brazen attempt to stymie the university's successful record under his leadership.

On Tuesday, my team was glad to join local leaders in Prince William County at the ribbon cutting for Forest Greens Golf Course. Thank you to Supervisor Andrea Bailey for inviting my team to participate in such a great event!

16 years ago today, the federal minimum wage rose to $7.25. It hasn’t gone up since — but rent, gas, and groceries sure have... 📈
Students with disabilities deserve every opportunity to thrive after high school — but the Trump Admin cut a program in Spotsylvania County that helped make that possible. That's why @SenTimKaine and I introduced a bipartisan, bicameral bill to revive it and make sure no future…
Kaine and Vindman Push to Restore Disability Program Funding Cut from Spotsy Schools dlvr.it/TM4mF3
Trump cruelly cancelled a pilot program Spotsylvania County Public Schools participated in to support students with disabilities. Our students and schools deserve so much better, so @RepVindman and I introduced a bill that would force Trump to change course.
Release the Epstein files.

Is anyone surprised? Because I’m sure as hell not. @SecDef MUST resign.
SCOOP: The Pentagon’s inspector general has received evidence that messages from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s Signal account previewing a U.S. bombing campaign in Yemen derived from a classified email labeled “SECRET/NOFORN,” people familiar with the matter said.
I extend my deepest congratulations to Dale Sisson on his retirement from the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division. I was honored to thank him for his service to our country by recognizing him on the U.S. House floor as my 'Constituent of the Week.'
More than 7,500 Virginians tuned into my telephone town hall tonight! We covered a wide range of topics — from Trump's Big, Ugly Bill to Social Security to the new VA care center in Fredericksburg. Thank you to everyone who joined the conversation.

I’m proud that we are able to help Virginians, like Kenneth, receive timely responses from their government. If you need assistance with a federal agency, program, or benefit, contact my office at (703) 987-2180 or vindman.house.gov/casework.

Every veteran who earned GI Bill benefits should be able to transfer them to their dependents — no matter when they grow their family. That’s why I introduced a bipartisan bill to give military families more flexibility and keep the American dream alive. starexponent.com/news/local/art…
As a dad of two kids who attended Virginia public schools, I’ve seen the impact great teachers can make. I'm proud to join @RepKiggans on a bipartisan bill to provide financial relief to educators who tutor students outside the classroom. Teachers are the cornerstone of our…
There is no such thing as a good school without good teachers. We must do more to support our nation’s educators, and ensuring their after-hours tutoring instruction is tax-free is a good place to start! That’s why I introduced the Teachers Utilizing Tutoring Opportunities for…
I’m leading a bipartisan bill to fix an outdated policy that blocks some veterans from transferring their earned GI Bill benefits to future dependents. It’s a commonsense fix to an unfair rule. Read what veterans from across VA-07 are saying👇

13 years ago, 12 people were killed and 70 more injured in a shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado. I'm committed to passing commonsense gun safety legislation to protect our communities. No one should fear for their lives while simply enjoying a night at the movies.
Are you having an issue with a federal agency like the VA, IRS, OPM, or Social Security Administration? If so, my office may be able to assist you — just like we helped David! You can contact my office at vindman.house.gov or (703) 987-2180 for assistance.

I'm leading a bipartisan bill to fix an outdated policy that prevents many service members from transferring their GI Bill benefits to dependents. Right now, if a service member retires or is honorably discharged before starting a family, they lose the ability to transfer their…
