You DO have to pay for the #Tarion fee: it's not "free" as this podcast by the CEO seems to say. It should be optional. Many new homebuyers see no value in Tarion. They often side with builders in warranty claims, and it takes months or years with them playing the go-between.

This was our builder ! We fought for 4 yrs to get back the 300k and now it appears another family has been taken for almost 200k ! 1/2 million in warranty claims ! Tarion / HCRA nothing has changed ! Zero accountability!
