Imagine how robust the MCU would’ve been if fans weren’t constantly asking for less content and we were getting dozens of different stories a year. Sequels for films like Shang-Chi by now. Regular seasons for shows like She-Hulk, Hawkeye, etc. Could’ve been perfect.
Because the screenwriters are also part of the general audience and they don't get it either. They didn't grow up with it so to them comic books are ridiculous beyond the suspension of disbelief. They believe the audience has the same mindset and they may be right.
Why do non-comic readers need the movies based on comic books cater to them? It’s such a strange take that ultimately does more to insult the general audience more than speak for them.
That's the main audience genius. Not everyone reads comics

I think the problem with dismissing the "stolen artifacts" narrative against the British museum is that nobody ever quantifies this sentiment. If you're willing to admit a lot was stolen, how much of it being "legitimately procured" is true? How many artifacts weren't stolen?
Going to quickly address this because a few people had the impression this was about age verification. It isn't. This was about the Payment Processors putting pressure on steam and itch to remove any and all content that was even VAGUELY sexual.
The problem with making porn hard to find, if not outright illegal, is that it pushes it down there in the same spaces with genuinely illegal and immoral stuff. You know how prohibition empowered organized crime? You think the same shit won't happen with smut?
This is why the British and whoever else "stealing" artifacts from these places and perserving them in museums is a good thing. Savages who don't understand or respect posterity.
