An emotional @RealCarlosGomez @Four3rTeen wanted to share how much Bob Uecker meant to him. Gomez says Uecker's encouragement helped him get through early struggles in Milwaukee. "At least I had the opportunity to share with him how important he was for me in my career."
Gomez added the Olympics would be a goal for the future, and that he didn't want fans/followers expecting something that's not in play at the moment. Nevertheless, the Pan Am Games would be a terrific achievement for Gomez, and I wouldn't put the Olympics past him in the future!
Circled back with Carlos Gomez tonight and he provided a clarification on the earlier cycling tweets: He is training for the DR national championship and if he does well there the Pan Am Games would follow.
