Reminder that at this time of the yr, injured players cannot be "released". Burks was waived/injured which means if he goes unclaimed on waivers, he will revert to the Titans' IR. Or, he could work out an injury settlement which would allow him to sign elsewhere once healthy.
#Titans released Treylon Burks.
.@ravens first day in pads today. Excited to watch their 5th round; and 2nd round selections...Carson Vinson and Mike Green go about their business. Vinson was the only HBCU player drafted this year and the only one to go to @seniorbowl #BaldysBreakdowns
Ferguson was taken 10 spots before #Ravens TE Isaiah Likely in 2022 draft. Ferguson's first three years: 149 rec, 1,429 yds, 7 TDs Ferguson 2024: 59-494-0 Likely's first three years: 108 rec, 1,261 yds, 14 TDs Likely 2024: 42-477-6
The #Cowboys and standout TE Jake Ferguson have agreed to terms on a 4-year extension worth $52M in new money with $30M total guaranteed. The deal was done by agent Jack Bechta (@jackbechta). Ferguson gets a $12M signing bonus. Dallas takes care of a young star.
Jaire Alexander ❎ Nate Wiggins double seatbelt celebration🔥🔥

The Steelers worked out former Ravens S Marcus Williams in addition to their signing of Chuck Clark
Happy New Year, football is back & training camp has arrived! Here’s a refresher on the key upcoming dates and roster & salary cap considerations as we head towards week 1 of the regular season.
As camp begins, it's always good to review the key dates and definitions that we'll hear going forward. @RavensSalaryCap is here to do just that. 📷: @shawn_hubbard
Because of the increases in fully gtd money at the top of the 2nd round & the trickle down effect from there, Mike Green's fully gtd money is 65.65% of the total deal, a huge increase from the 54.01% fully gtd for the 59th overall pick in 2024.
Last yr's 59th overall had 54.01% of his deal gtd, so that's the baseless. Prior yr was 53.34%. I would expect this yr's jump to be greater than that.
What a friggin' disaster! 😯

Just in: NFLPA executive director Lloyd Howell has resigned from his position.
As expected, didn't take long once the logjam was broken. Green will sign a 4-yr deal worth $7.419M w/ a Signing Bonus of $2,035,932. His 2025 Cap number will be $1,348,983.
The #Ravens are expected to sign pass-rusher Mike Green to his four-year contract today, sources say, another second-rounder that gets done. Green was the 59th overall pick.
A lot of good intel from Daniel here on EDGE signings. Oweh is a yr and 2 yrs older than Rousseau & Karlaftis, but had 10 sacks (granted, not the end all be all stat) on less snaps than those two in 2024. Ravens fans, would you do a deal for Oweh at 4 yrs, $88M?
🧵My projection for Karlaftis: 4 new years, 88M in new value. 59M in total guarantees (including old money). There’s a recent comp that’s fairly relevant for a Karlaftis deal. In 2024, Greg Rousseau posted 8 sacks and 63 pressures. Karlaftis posted 8 sacks and 61 pressures.
Turner was pick 62. Mike Green was pick 59. Pick 43 signed last night w/o getting a fully gtd deal, so I would think the signings of players after pick 43 - including Green - should now happen pretty quickly.
The #Bears and second-round DT Shemar Turner have agreed to terms on his four-year rookie contract, source says, as the logjam slowly begins to open up.
Two rookie draft picks landed on the non-football injury list: #Ravens OT Emery Jones and #49ers QB Kurtis Rourke. They can be activated anytime.
Great conversation with Kevin as always. The Ravens have more Cap flexibly this yr than last (when they had none!). BUT next yr could be ugly w/o a Lamar extension either now or before next March.

This reduces the Ravens’ estimate “effective” Cap space to a little under $1.5M when taking into account their estimated future expenses. They do still have extension & restructure candidates, so they are not precluded from making other moves.
5/ With everyone accounted for (and pending the eventual Mike Green rookie deal being signed), the Ravens are now just under $15M under the Cap.
