Hi
Molecular architecture of coronavirus double-membrane vesicle pore complex | Nature doi.org/10.1038/s41586…
SPACEtomo is officially published! :P nature.com/articles/s4159… I'm so grateful for all the support I received especially from @RadoDanev and everyone who shared their data with me! And of course thanks to David Mastronarde and the amazing #SerialEM for making it possible!
#SPACEtomo - a small step towards fast robotic exploration of the vast universe of #cryoET. 🌃🦠❄️🔬 Congrats @EisFabian !🥳🎉 rdcu.be/dQlI4
This is an elegant study showing the differences in structures of hemoglobin in humans and crocodiles which explains why crocs can stay long under water. Very cool 🐊🐊🐊 The unique allosteric property of crocodilian haemoglobin elucidated by cryo-EM nature.com/articles/s4146…
Come and join this amazing group of scientists to work at the cutting edge of structural biology of telomeric complexes. The LMB is a highly collaborative place. Please share!
CryoDRGN-ET❄️🐉 is published in @naturemethods! We combine neural fields and generative modeling to reveal the structural heterogeneity of protein complexes *in situ*! So excited to see this out, and huge congrats to @ramyarangan, @FeathersRyan and team! nature.com/articles/s4159…
What do dynamic protein complexes look like *inside the cell*? Excited to share our work, led by superstar @ramyarangan, on cryoDRGN-ET, a new approach in the ❄️🐉 software for reconstructing and visualizing structures from in situ cryo-ET data. 1/ biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Big congrats to our fearless leader! Well deserved @PatrickMSexton1
Congratulations to the recipient of Peter Doherty Investigator Grant Award in Leadership, @PatrickMSexton1 of @MIPS_Australia, @CCeMMP and @MIPS_DDB for his research on improving our understanding of G protein-coupled receptors. Read more on our website: ow.ly/JwK750Sswpj

We are happy to announce the public release of EMhub, a web platform designed to support the operations of a scientific facility, enabling easy management of users, instruments, bookings, and project tracking. EMhub was unveiled at the #ACA2024 last week by @delarosatrevin
Check out our latest work! 👇We leverage pretrained protein generative models (here Chroma @generate_biomed ) as a prior for inverse problems in protein space (e.g. structure completion, distance contraints, cryo-EM model building). ❄️🏗️ Paper: arxiv.org/abs/2406.04239
Protein generative models have learned patterns across 3D structural space. Can we leverage this capability for inverse problems? With ADP-3D (Atomic Denoising Prior), we solve inverse problems in protein space using a diffusion model as a prior! axel-levy.github.io/adp-3d/
CCP-EM Doppio 1.0.1 released! You can download it for Linux/Mac here... ccpem.ac.uk/download.php
This weekend we remembered the life, the science, and the legacy of one of the best women I have had the grace of meeting. We laughed, we cried, we mourned, we gave thanks to her for bringing all of us together
We present DRGN-AI for fast, ab initio cryo-EM reconstruction! * learns a neural field from unposed images, * designed for single-shot reconstruction of unfiltered datasets, * finds new states missed by prior approaches! Teamwork led by @ZhongingAlong drgnai.cs.princeton.edu 1/
This is actually democratising cryoEM! Brilliant work by @HariVenugopal2 @CryoEM_Monash @GeorgRamm Sub 3 angstrom on a 120 kV technai with a LaB6 source! Read it! It's a masterpiece biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Finally- a book on cryo-electron tomography, written by leading experts! Edited by the one and only @FriedrichForst1 and myself! link.springer.com/book/10.1007/9…
Our manuscript for STOPGAP is now out in @ActaCrystD! It was great working with @CryoSagar and twitterless Jonathan Wagner. journals.iucr.org/d/issues/2024/…
Lots of updates in #SPACEtomo by @EisFabian. New target inspection/selection GUI 🖥️🗺️🥳and a video tutorial: youtube.com/watch?v=I5yvi0…
Excited to share our cryo-ET dataset: 1800+ tomos from 300+lamellae. Huge team work from team @bengeliscious, team @MPI_Biochem & my team @thermosciEMSpec + team @EMDB_EMPIAR. We hope resources like this will be useful & push the frontier in cellular structure biology🚀#CryoET
The new @EMDB_EMPIAR cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET) browser allows you to see proteins up close in the cellular environment. Over 1,800 high-resolution reconstructed tomograms from cryo-plasma-FIB milled Chlamydomonas reinhardtii cells are available. ebi.ac.uk/about/news/ann…
We had a few nice days of cherry blossoms viewing this year.🌸🤩
