An important update. A note you can also come see us this Saturday at Raynes Park Library from 10-12. Hopefully the printing is back online by then
@Merton_Council has repeatedly failed to clearly state whether they will hold the AELTC to its promise to not build on Wimbledon Park. Following yesterday’s High Court ruling, @PaulKohlerSW19 is demanding answers👇 mertonlibdems.org.uk/news/article/w…
How it started. How it’s going.
Great to visit @forestbike_uk and see their e-bike operation this morning. Good discussions about the growth of cycling in London, the importance of maintenance for safety, parking and regulations.
Do avoid Raynes Park station this morning as there are delays of up to 40 mins, with many trains cancelled altogether. Northern Line from Morden/South Wim or District Line from Wimbledon are your best bets if you can get there on foot or by bike - buses are packed as you expect
West Barnes Lane Temporary traffic lights in place for Network Rail to carry out surveys to the Rail over road bridge between Waitrose and Carter’s Estate. Expected timeframe: 12 July to 13 July between 07:00 and 17:00. Also next week 19 July to 20 July between 07:00 and 17:00🚦
Cycling in central Raynes Park is a bit of a mess and we have been told for three years to wait for the Walking and Cycling strategy. Will it ever come?
It's been far too long since Labour launched these flagship consultations. No feedback, no action, & not a single penny spent. This culture of delay shows that Labour can't be left in control.

Do the lines between alcohol and work sometimes feel a little… blurry? Whether it’s a bonding tool, a reward, Friday night drinks, or a networking event, alcohol is often made to feel like the main attraction, particularly at workplace socials. And when work stresses start to…
We're aware of the significant flooding at Three Kings Pond at Commonside East and Commonside West in Mitcham due to a Thames Water main damage. Thames Water are currently working on the issue on site. Please avoid the area if possible.

There is a road closure tomorrow night at Raynes Park bridge, this also affects Wednesday night and it should run 10pm overnight to 6am to allow inspection of the bridge and structure. Vehicles should be diverted by Wimbledon town centre rather than Lower Downs (due to clearance)
Langham Rd is closed at the junction of Worple for Thames Water works. Use Arterberry & Dunmore instead 🚧

It’s going to be hot today, but nothing is hotter than Hollymount Primary School’s Summer Fair! Head on down to Cambridge Rd from noon to 4pm this afternoon with all proceeds going to the school. 🌞
We're out collecting signatures for our campaign to bring step-free access to South Wimbledon, but many of you seem to be out enjoying the sunshine, so if we've missed you you can always sign here: mertonlibdems.org.uk/our-campaigns/…

Public transport should work for everyone in our community. That’s why we’re fighting for step-free access to stations across Merton. #BetterTransportWeek mertonlibdems.org.uk/our-campaigns/…
The council tell us things like cycling through Raynes Park station tunnel needs the police for enforcement, but the Met tell us they can’t afford to be in Raynes Park. Community policing IS policing, so sign our petition for real change.
With Wimbledon’s dedicated town centre police team gone, neighbourhood officers are stretched thin over larger areas. I'm backing Merton Lib Dems campaign to bring back visible policing to our high streets. Read more and sign the petition here👇 mertonlibdems.org.uk/town-police
Everyone deserves to feel safe on our high streets, day and night. We're calling for dedicated town centre police teams in our area to tackle crime & restore trust, backed by @PaulKohlerSW19 in Parliament. Read more, sign & share our petition 👇 mertonlibdems.org.uk/town-police
