Brand is no longer a moat in consumer. Anyone can spin up a brand. Only 2 moats remain. The first is distribution, which has always been a moat. The second is actually biotech, which will gradually & then suddenly permeate the entire consumer ecosystem
3 developments that, when taken as a whole, will not end well: 1. Boomers becoming cell phone addicts 2. Boomers becoming "traders" 3. Boomers thinking that LLMs are helping them unearth alpha, unaware that LLMs are sycophants
I used to do keto/carnivore cycles but life is just so much better with fresh baked sourdough bread on every meal I bet if you were to survey the happiness of those who ate bread like this vs those who did not, the difference would be statistically significant
Business is so interesting. People can get incredibly lucky and then construct this narrative around their skill/expertise, when in reality they are just being fooled by randomness

Blueprint has been a pain in my ass. It's kept me from not focusing on the single thing I’m consumed with: how does the human race survive the rise of super intelligence. Every minute spent dealing with problems like ‘why a supplier shipped us something out-of-spec’ (now…

Mamdani’s election is further evidence that coastal elites are wholly unprepared for what’s coming. Voting for something as simple-minded as state-owned grocery stores when there is this incredibly destabilizing technological force on the horizon
Mira Murati raised a $2B seed without a product and Google bought DeepMind for $500M Surprised people don’t talk about this more Google essentially bought AGI for pennies on the dollar
