My 10 yo told my mom he was bored because his gaming time was limited. She asked him what other things made him happy. He shared. She responded with “good, because you should have more than one source of happiness & fun. No one thing should be your happiness”. My mom da 🐐
Reminder: You’re not just wrong, you’re a two-time loser if you intentionally provoke kids just to get a reaction, then turn around and chastise them for how they respond.
I had a conversation with Derrais Carter, and now I cannot look at Marvin Gaye or this song the same again. “Who do you think he’s singing to?” the scholar asked.
When Marvin Gaye was laying down on a couch singing like the rent is due on “I want You”
The good news: I got $15. The bad news: I now need $128. Another bill is due 2morrow making the hole even deeper. Can 9 ppl give $15 towards this?🙏🏾 ZE:SweetBtchesBrew@gmail venmo.com/u/LiLi_Banks paypal.me/aliciafiasco cash.app/$aliciafia #GivingTuesday #SupportArtists
I reminded him of our saying “Boredom is a signal to explore what’s next”. Now he’s making raps out of the cereals in the pantry.
She ended the conversation explaining how boredom was a valid feeling, one that shows up when our mind or body needs something different. But she reminded them that while it’s real, it doesn’t have to last forever.
This is literally all I’ve been saying on here as a somatic trauma therapist. Anyway here’s my FREE ongoing blog & video series showing how to do this below I’m about to drop the next chapter this week!
wow, it turns out when you make room to fully feel your feelings instead of trying to “solve” or intellectualize them, they eventually pass!! who knew!!
I have a small goal of $500 to get some things taken care of before my eviciton. If you have anything to spare, please h3/p, if not please bewst. I have not been able to replace anything for months now, i desperately need medication and essentials. CA: $ LaguerreK PP: @ KimalahL
you care about Gaza, talk about the famine. People are dying from hunger. There is no flour, no milk for babies, no food for children. I spent the entire day searching for something to feed my family and found nothing. Hunger is not a feeling, it is a slow death. It has become…
Especially for those of us with trauma (acquired neurodivergence), or other neuro spicy things
Somatic Regulation Strategies >>>
This is also bilateral stimulation, which as a somatic trauma therapist, I’m talking about all the time
Here
This is going to be a really, really, really long (Free like $0.00) written and video series where I’ll be explaining somatic psych theory and how to apply it so you can build a deeper relationship with your body, your intuition, and ultimately your community
Gonna keep RTing this until i get more traction/donos. I have to move soon, I've been dealing with endless landlord harassment for months. Today they connected my waterline to the dirty basement line. I'd like to get some essentials taken care of today so i can prepare to move.

a lot of us grew up hearing recitations of that speech only to now understand that the one we learned was written by some racist white woman. anyone interested in this history should check out the sojourner truth project, where they have several black women reciting the original.
doing some research on sojourner truth and it's amazing how that white woman changed her original words and dialect in the "ain't i a woman" speech to make her sound like a southern woman when she was a dutch speaker from new york. ridiculous lol
it is very, very clear a lot of y’all on the left do not spend time with many disabled people or have many disabled friends.
