As a player who didn’t miss one training session or one game with concussion, you have to admire Gary Ringrose’s honesty in what would have been one of the biggest game’s of his life. On another note. Being allowed to play on a 5 day turnaround is crazy stuff.
This is the thing with a concussion - recovery isn’t linear which is why it is so, so important to rest properly
Farrell saying Ringrose suffering concussion symptoms, a little worrying after he played 65 minutes on Tuesday and then did the mixed zone interviews. Sione a hammy, they’re saying too.
Very grateful for the marvellous roof at the Marvel Stadium because the weather is getting filthy!

Not a great look 😔😢😡🙏❤️🏉🧠 @AllBlacks @WorldRugby @ProgressiveRug @Head4Change

What we are hearing … absolute respect to Contepomi, cannot have been an easy decision to make.

Of primary importance here is Noah’s long term physical and mental wellbeing. That supersedes everything and we wish him a safe, speedy and full recovery.
Speedy recovery Noah 🙏 🔗 Read more - wallabies.rugby/news/media-sta… #Wallabies

Does anyone know the answer to this - @Scienceofsport maybe? Not sure how truly independent research is defined though - I would think hands off and at a distance.
Does anyone actually know how much money @WorldRugby have spent on truly independent research into neurodegenerative diseases? Ie without significant external influence or direction. Is there even an appetite to do so ?🤔🤷😢😡🧠🏉
This 👇 And not the players, but the coaches etc as well.
Most of us aren't even the best people in our family Majority of us are unknown in our village You're an over achiever if you're known in your city If you're good enough to be known nationally, you're the shit If you're a Lion, you're bionic Dial down the criticism peops
We welcome all initiatives that could make rugby union at the professional level safer, but it is difficult to take this seriously when more and more fixtures are being shoehorned into a crowded calendar. If WR is serious about player welfare, player load needs to be addressed.
World Rugby is today announcing the next evolution of the international federation’s Six Point Plan on player welfare. The new evolution of the Six Point Plan will ensure that rugby never stands still in this vital area. 🔗 bit.ly/4l7MzeJ
Completely agree. ‘Events’ like this are utterly abhorrent.
This run it straight rubbish needs to get banned immediately. That’s former NRL veteran, Kevin Proctor, getting horribly knocked out. One dead already, going to be more if it continues. #RunItStraight
Excellent refereeing in the @lionsofficial @westernforce ensuring a Force player goes off for an HIA #Lions2025
Needs a minimum of 3 to 6 months. A concern than needs to be taken seriously. We only get one brain, 5th HIA this year suggests he’s vulnerable as his his brain 🏉🧠😡😢
Victor Radley is set to take at least a month off footy after undergoing his 5th HIA of the year in Round 14. Notable that Radley actually passed that HIA but the Roosters opted to rule him out of the game anyway. He has since undergone testing with multiple specialists.
Can’t argue with that assessment - if that isn’t a straight red, what is?
🔴 This feels like an obvious straight red. Horrendous from IFW. No excuses about that one.
