This is one of a number of exciting new studies that Xuan is completing. This one compares several methods for "aligning" the latent signals computed from M1 for a remarkably broad range of datasets from several monkeys and tasks. Nice implications for BCI that we hope to test.
Our paper “Using adversarial networks to extend brain computer interface decoding accuracy over time” has just been published on eLife (elifesciences.org/articles/84296). In this work, we tried to address the problems with the long-term stability of intracortical BCI systems.
