#TURNBACKTOHUMANITY There are now more than 100 million displaced persons in the world today, the size of a country with numbers rising fast. Every one of them deserves the same safety & opportunity we expect for ourselves. Australia is a wealthy country. We can do so much more.
In 2023, Afghan women chanted: “Freedom, liberty is our ultimate right” and “Women’s rights are human rights.” Since then—more arrests, torture, death threats. Afghan women & girls are banned from even stepping outside. The world watches. Silence enables oppression.
