In 2023, Afghan women chanted: “Freedom, liberty is our ultimate right” and “Women’s rights are human rights.” Since then—more arrests, torture, death threats. Afghan women & girls are banned from even stepping outside. The world watches. Silence enables oppression.
🚨 New arrests of women and girls in Kabul by the Taliban. Afghanistan has become place of fear for women. New footage shows young women being detained without clear reason. The crackdown is spreading, this is not security, it’s suppression. #Afghanistan #WomenRights #Freedom
UN Women says: “Any job is a woman’s job.” Then where is your voice for Afghan women, banned from all jobs, education, and public life under the Taliban? Afghan women don’t need slogans. They need protection, action, and solidarity. Silence is complicity.
Any job is a woman's job. Any job is a woman's job. Any job is a woman's job. Any job is a woman's job. Any job is a woman's job. Any job is a woman's job. Any job is a woman's job. Any job is a woman's job.
Since Taliban takeover, Afghan women have been erased from public life. 🚫 Banned from education 🚫 Barred from most jobs 🚫 No travel without a male guardian 🚫 Even parks are off-limits UN data shows 8 in 10 young women are excluded from education & work, 4× the rate for men.
Obviously it would take time away from tweeting vapid slogans and hiring men to be women's representatives, but perhaps @UN_Women might consider addressing the desperate situation of women in Afghanistan.
Rais Ahmadzai, an official of Afghanistan Cricket Board, responded to the viral video: “I was in an interview with a foreign journalist. I did help the woman, but after repeated requests, I lost patience. I sincerely apologize if my behavior seemed harsh.” #AfghanWomenRights
A video circulating online shows a man named Rais Ahmadzai, a member of the Afghanistan Cricket Board, treating a woman in need with cruelty and deep disrespect. She represents millions of Afghan women dignified, silenced, and ignored. Afghan women need support and respect.
🚨 Again, new restrictions on women in Kandahar, Afghanistan. The Taliban now require female employees to have a “guardian card” and be accompanied by a male relative at all times during work. This isn’t about virtue, it’s a deliberate strategy to erase women from public life.

With her small hands, she gives water to disabled man, while she herself has been banned from school. Not because she’s incapable, but because she’s a girl. This photo reflects millions of Afghan girls denied education but still teaching world compassion, strength, and humanity.
🚨 In this shocking video, a Taliban member, claiming to own a second-hand shop, threatens a woman fully covered in a burqa. The Taliban’s problem is not clothing of women. They fear women. Because Afghan women are symbols of resistance. #AfghanWomen #StopGenderApartheid #UN

Afghan women & human rights activists in exile protested against the recent arrests of women and girls in Kabul by the Taliban and chanted: “Detaining women is an obvious crime. Free the women, we will not be silent!” This is not enforcement, it’s oppression. The world must act.
After Taliban banned girls’ education beyond grade 6, 14-year-old Haida Shafaq from Kabul chose new path. She launched small handmade jewelry business, selling her colorful creations in local markets & online. Her dream: to grow and create jobs for other girls denied school.

In Afghanistan, even childhood is under attack. Taliban have banned dolls and other toys in Kandahar, calling them “impermissible.” At the same time, million girls are banned from schooling and universities. A regime that fears both joy & education is afraid of its own people.

The Taliban flogged a woman in public yesterday in Zurmat, Paktia. This is not justice. It’s a brutal reminder: Afghan women have no rights, no safety, no voice under Taliban rule. Silence helps the oppressor. #AfghanWomen #StopGenderApartheid

Afghan Women’s Cricket Team is set to play one 50-over and one T20 match. ICC: These matches are being granted as official status to support Afghan women in exile. A vital step for refugee athletes who refuse to be silenced. #FreeAfghanWomen #EndGenderApartheid

Afghan women and girls in exile warn: Silence is complicity. The recent arrests of women & girl by the Taliban are not isolated incidents, they are part of a growing campaign of fear. These girls were not criminals. Their only “crime” was being educated, outspoken, and present.
This image marks the day school and university doors were shut on Afghan girls and women. Today’s Kankor exam results were announced but what is an exam without girls? A system without women is not education. It is gender apartheid. #LetAfghanGirlsLearn #FreeAfghanWomen

A deeply painful video circulating on social media shows a young girl and boy, in love, brutally executed, reportedly by the girl’s family in Balochistan. Their only “crime” was wanting to love freely and live with dignity. Watching this is heartbreaking. #JusticeForVictims
Afghan women and human rights activists are fighting for freedom and justice. As August 15, the Black Day for Afghanistan, approaches, they raise their voices again. They demand their rights. The world must not forget Afghan women. #Afghanistan #15AugustBlackDay #Women
This is pride of Afghan women! Sayara Rahmani, Afghan refugee, secured the top spot in France’s Exile Parliament with highest votes. She represents countless brave, exiled women whose rights were stolen in Afghanistan. One day, these chains will break. Afghan women will rise.
