It took management five months to tell us they’re offering NO increase to our salary floor. Meanwhile, the cost of living in NYC is higher than ever. We deserve livable wages so we can afford to keep making the magazine we love. Please support our fight for a fair contract!
Today we delivered a letter on ground rules for our upcoming election to Jay Kennedy, head of labor relations. Given The Post’s disappointing decision to refuse to voluntarily recognize our union, we are asking them to agree to basic ground rules to ensure a free & fair election.
It's remote work week! Our members deserve flexibility in how we do our work. The Post is forcing us back into the office in June five days a week. We demand the right to keep remote work. Here is why remote work is important to us: (1)
Post management let us know they will NOT voluntarily recognize our union & are refusing to meet with Tech Guild leaders about election details. This is unacceptable. Today, we held a picket in partnership with our @PostGuild colleagues to demand that the company listen to us.
We, the tech workers who power The Washington Post, demand the same fairness, transparency and respect that our readers expect from our journalism. The Washington Post Tech Guild will bring these values into our workplace, uniting us in our commitment to truth and integrity. (1)
Join us in urging Washington Post management to voluntarily recognize the Washington Post Tech Guild and begin bargaining with us immediately! Sign our petition below. actionnetwork.org/petitions/volu…

Today, a majority of over 300 technology workers at The Washington Post announced the formation of The Washington Post Tech Guild and are seeking voluntary recognition from the company.
We are profoundly committed to The Washington Post’s longevity and success, and our work is critical to its mission. We are forming this union to demand the same fairness, transparency and respect that our readers expect from our journalism.
Today, tech workers at The Washington Post (@wapotechguild) publicly announced their union and requested voluntary recognition. We’re so proud of our members and all the solidarity received from the @PostGuild along the way! ✊
scoop in @dealbook: Tech workers at The Washington Post are unionizing. It's the first public union drive at The Post since Jeff Bezos purchased it in 2013. nl.nytimes.com/f/a/9dUz6P5DE_…
