Calling all British newspapers: I am available to review Nicola Sturgeon’s memoir. No fee required as long as you don’t edit out the swear words.

Anyway enough of Fife. This afternoon Greta and I had a very nice hour in the hammock that the Paul Klee Zentrum in Bern very sweetly provided. And then we both had an ice cream.

The judge totally got it. You cannot police a counter demo when your Chief officer is banging the big trans drum. @northumbriapol
This may be the worst display of critical judgement ever displayed. theguardian.com/books/2025/jul…
Salt Path. Raynor Winn’s statement says “He’s got CBD and here are the doctors’ letters to prove it”. Some of which say “He hasn’t got CBD.” Did she just hope no-one would read them?
Not surprised about the Salt Path. In my experience redemptive tales of passive victimhood almost always leave out some bad behaviour. Anyone who changes his name from Timothy to Moth is evidently up to no good.
I’ve written a piece for @spectator slagging off libraries. Ooh controversial. spectator.co.uk/article/public…
I’m reading part 2 of the Sullivan Report. Hard to pick out any examples of outstanding charlatanry highlighted, there are so many. But I think this is a particularly startling one. sullivanreview.uk/barriers.pdf

Today we installed air conditioning at home and I’m not going outside ever again.

Exactly.
In all the furore about #BobVylan, most people have conveniently forgotten that the ranting was preceded by a rabidly antisemitic story - live on the BBC - about his former Jewish boss, who he called “a f*cking Zionist” and “bald-headed c*nt”. We know what you meant, Pascal.
“I’m 74, and I’ve still got all me teeth, and I bought a record by Sam Smith last week.”
#Channel4 is sorry, not sorry. #AltogetherDifferent
I am in total awe of @Madz_Grant ‘s parliamentary sketches. I never thought to read anyone as witty as Frank Johnson again. Comparing Rachel Reeves to “a bollard in a wig” - it’s like the old days. spectator.co.uk/article/the-sp…
How the fuck did it ever get out that gay men had good taste.

I’m immensely proud that today I unveiled our new LGBTQIA+ stained glass window in Belfast City Hall. This is hands down one of the highlights of my term as Lord Mayor, sending a powerful message that our city is an inclusive, welcoming city.
Greta has been to weddings before, but this was her first time as a bridesmaid - she coped beautifully. Very proud of her.

'Being fat is pretty awful. There is the 3 a.m. choking fit. There are the humiliations of being shown the door, in the politest possible way, in shops where you might actually want to buy clothes.' ✍️ Philip Hensher spectator.co.uk/article/the-jo…
