A pizzeria that makes $60+ dollars of profit per employee per hour? Can only be a Sbarro at an airport (or they meant “revenue” and the owner ate the cost of overhead that day).
X could be the greatest source for government news/accountability on the planet if it just had a PDF reader built in.
It’s maddening the X deprioritizes links, which had made this issue worse on this platform.
I love this genre of tweet that assumes *work itself* was somehow invented by capitalism. You do not want to be free from capitalism; you want to be independently wealthy!

How is it that in the Year of Our Lord 2025, reporters are still writing stories about newly filed federal lawsuits and NOT linking to the complaint in the first sentence (or anywhere else)?
It’s time.
In NRA v. Vullo, SCOTUS held that the NRA had a First Amendment claim against NY's finance czar because she coerced NRA's insurers to punish it for speech. Today, the 2d Cir. holds it doesn't matter. Why? QUALIFIED IMMUNITY. It's time for SCOTUS to end this lawless doctrine.
8YO: You don’t need to use big words to try to show me how serious you are, Dad. Me: I’m not trying to show you how serious I am. I just talk weird. 8YO: Oh. Okay.
There are 5,280 feet in a mile. That number may sound arbitrary, but like many old measurements (12 inches, 24 hours, 360 degrees), it reflect ease of division into fractions. 5,280 has 48 divisors, including 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 10.
Been Anerican all my life, no idea how many feet to a mile do whatever howdy towty spiritual value you think that has it doesnt apply. Only reason we dont switch to superior metric is we are cemented in the inferior system.
