Fraud/corruption tear away at the fabric of a community. It is a sign of decay. It is indefensible that fire victims got none of this money while political non profits got millions You don’t have to be a Republican to see that some (not all) nonprofits are a factory of fraud.
Just shocking and infuriating. Celebrities and others raised almost $100 million for the LA fires. It appears that almost none of it has gone to the actual victims. Instead it is being distributed to a bunch of completely unrelated non-profits.
I thought Senator Mitchell would wait to resign until Senate was next in Session. Until Senate meets again, they can’t expel her. I thought she’d say she deserves the due process of an appeal. I mean she did stretch out the trial for over a year. What’s another 2 or 3 months?

The caucus process - in both parties - has turned into a circus. I’d love to make fun of this DFL mess, but remember the GOP endorsed Royce White - so there is plenty of foolishness to go around. Lets hope voters demand the parties flush the caucuses down the political toilet.
You can’t get endorsed by a badge count in a competitive race where there are 800 delegates. If anyone says they’re DFL endorsed then everyone should.

Its been almost 450 years. We should change the calendar we use. Go to a 13 month calendar. 28 days each. Every month starts with Day 1 on a Sunday. That gives you 364 days. Then at the end of the 13th month, have an 8th day of the week holiday. (2 day holiday in leap year)
The eventual unsupervised release of a man who murdered 4 family members is irresponsible. Whatever mental defects caused him to kill in the fashion he did can never be fully understood. Likewise we do not understand what may activate those defects again. startribune.com/david-brom-roc…
