Sligo Creek Parkway between University Blvd and Piney Branch will remain closed until tomorrow morning due to a downed tree.
All portions of Sligo Creek Pkwy that closed due to flooding are now open. Sligo Creek Pkwy is still closed from University Blvd to Forest Glen and Piney Branch Rd to Carroll Ave for the normal weekend open parkways schedule and will reopen to vehicles as usual at 6pm today.
The entirety of Sligo Creek Parkway is closed down to flooding.
Sligo Creek Parkway between Wayne Ave and Piney Branch Rd will be closed from now until noon for maintenance.

Sligo Creek Parkway between Wayne Ave and Schuyler Rd is closed for grass cutting. Additionally, Sligo Creek Pkwy is closed between Dennis and Forest Glen for tree work. We will advise when the roadway has reopened.

Beach Drive is closed between Connecticut Ave and Kensington Pkwy and Cedar Ln and Franklin Ave due to flooding. Turn around don’t drown, a car can float in 12 inches of water and can lose control and stall in 6 inches.

This morning we joined @mcpnews and Council Member @NataliFGonzalez for a community bike ride from North Four Corners Park to Sligo Creek Parkway.

Today we teamed up with @mcpnews for a traffic detail on Georgia Ave focusing on distracted driving, speed, and crosswalks. Police Horses Odin and Kona joined in and focused on cars using too much horse power….
