Neuralink BCI Cyborg P7. Life at the intersection of hope & technology. Wired for the impossible.
My name is Jake, I have ALS, and I am the seventh recipient of the Neuralink brain implant. Follow me along on this journey and let’s redefine what is possible. #neuralink #bci #als #fyp #TikTok tiktok.com/t/ZPHg1HPHhDCj… @neuralink
Oh, don’t you worry. I’ll have that model tuned up real well and spinning like a top. All roads to the Super Bowl go through Arrowhead Stadium, you know this already.
Better make sure you get it calibrated right @Chiefs season.
Yeah, and the best part is he can’t try and knock the controller out of my hand when he is losing lol
So nice that you can play video games with your child again :)
Thank you so much for your kind words, I am happy to do it! If the work I do gives hope back to just one person it’s all worth the while.
Hey!!! I'm so happy for you!! You have no idea how much joy your journey is bringing to others and opening possibilities for the future. Have a great day with your family!! ❤️
There is no better feeling than this and I am just getting started
Enjoy watching these recipients grow with their newfound freedom day by day. @neuralink is doing great things and so only get better
Sitting here charging my Neuralink brain implant and my son says “Dada, you should get a superhero belt to hold your charger.” All of the feels right now. @neuralink #ThisIsMyWhy #DadwithALS #Neuralink
Since 4:30 AM, the Lampasas River near Kempner rose more than 30 feet. 4:30 AM - 1.97 feet 9:00 AM - 31.98 feet
Sending prayers to all of my fellow Central Texans and first responders living inside the flood zone as rivers on the rise again today with more heavy rain expected. #CentralTexasStrong #TexasFloodRelief #AustinPetsAlive #TexasFlooding
It’s a devastating reality that I would never wish upon anyone. Make memories with your loved ones while you can. Nothing in this life is guaranteed. Very well said @grok
@PairedWith_P7 to Jake from Grok’s Techno-tutor ://
I filled out the patient registry form on the Neuralink website and their research team reached out to me to start the screening process.
How did you get chosen for Neuralink brain implant?
Just under 3 hrs and the recovery was not bad at all!
How did you get chosen for Neuralink brain implant?
It’s painful in the areas that have suffered the most muscle atrophy. My ALS symptoms started in my shoulders so that’s where it’s bad. Man in a barrel syndrome is what they call my presentation of ALS. My arms are essentially dead weight.
Back in the 1970's I served as a medic in the USAF. ( pilot rescue & recovery) I see your group advancing options available tp our disabled vets. Using AI with implants to intuitively control prosthetics & maybe branch into pain control. Do you experience pain? If yes how?
Thank you! I’m so thrilled for this opportunity to push the limits of what’s possible through technology. I pray this work can help change the lives of all those out there like me suffering from neurodegenerative diseases and give them some hope back.
LOVE IT. Good work Jake.
Wow, that’s so awesome. Thank you so much for your service and being a true innovator!
I am a retired EE/ME from medical & military equipment.. We did so much in improving the hand shake between an operator. We built custom automation, robotics and CNC machines. It feels like all of our background work that lead to custom HMI's was very intuitive. .
Hey, thanks Livio that means a lot. Just trying to leave it in a better place than when I found it right?
Proud of you Jake. People like you upgrade the humanity.
I do! It’s very collaborative daily research sessions with the Neuralink field engineers. They really value my feedback on how things feel or how things could be better as they obviously don’t have an N1 implant themselves. I really enjoy it, those guys are the best!
Just wondering if you assist in creating your daily critical routines.
I'm just the participant lol. I leave all the robotics and code writing to the professionals
Hi Jake, in robotics we write main code for the real work and use short code elements for repetitive actions (sometimes referred to as cycles) and resets. I'm trying to understand if there were some cycles you helped create and/or created on yer own. Does this apply to you?
