Austin hit its first warmer-than-normal day this month (98° on July 22).
Closely monitoring an area of potential tropical low development in the coming days. Ensembles remain optimistic about at least low pressure formation later this week, which could bring heavy rainfall to states like Louisiana and Texas.


The last time Austin went an entire month without triple-digit temperatures in July was 2010!
It's now been 21 days since Austin saw a warmer-than-normal high!
Austin has not had a warmer-than-normal high temperature this month (through July 20). It has been 68 days since the high temperature reached 100°. Warmer-than-normal temperatures are expected to return this week. Triple-digits are possible.
