.@PShore15 the 1 min penalty but 52 sec shot clock doesn’t make sense to me. Feels like you’re punishing the man up. Either make the shot clock the penalty length or don’t start the shot clock until you lose possession or penalty expires. Make penalties actually hurt teams.
Top takeaways from last night’s @PremierLacrosse games, including Chayse Ierlan’s breakout game and the @PLLRedwoods rallying around Dylan Molloy, a.k.a. “Gramps”. pll.gg/QyoJv5kfjVb

Kelly on shooting woes in the first half: "We were settling for the first available not the best available."
Chris Kavanagh: "I've never had someone kick me the ball and I shoot and scored."
Everyone in the Archers post-game press conference said they need to regroup quickly and move forward to a big game Saturday night. Dobson used a line I love and use with the players I coach after a disappointing loss: "The sun will come up tomorrow."
Tonight is the first time all season that the Redwoods outscored their opponent in the fourth quarter.
But he should have ran toward the goal…
Carcaterra keeps saying McAdorey was lucky there was a penalty called, but it's a clear penalty, and if there's no penalty, he gets to open space on the opposite side of the field.

Cole Kastner causes a turnover in a big moment. He's making a bigger impact every week.
Big goal from Kavanagh but that pick from Balcarcel is absolutely HUGE. He gets run over but still made tons of room for Kavanagh. You can't compliment that selfless play enough.
The booth referred to this earlier, but the Archer ball movement and off-ball movement caused a lot of movement from the Redwoods defense, which allowed for plenty of time and room on the shot.
Redwoods take first lead of the game on a Garnsey goal. Lots of question mark dodges from California offensive players, so the hesitation and rocker step to continue up field helped get his hands free.
Bertrand with a big sweep. Good off ball movement to get out of the way which allowed Bertrand to really penetrate to the inside.
That Molloy goal breaks a 12-minute goalless drought and an 0-8 shooting start to the third quarter.
Game has a similar feel to the first matchup of the year. Archers get out front. Redwoods work to claw back, but can’t get out ahead.
Zion bank stadium is always a nostalgic stadium to me. I’ve never been, but I really fell in love with the PLL in 2020. Every time goes there, it just reminds me of when I fell in love with the game.
