Baylor School grad Nick Kurtz earns his place in baseball folklore | Chattanooga Times Free Press timesfreepress.com/news/2025/jul/…
My design for July 27, 2025 @TimesFreePress @SportsChatt @GoMocsFB @Vol_Football #bestofpreps #NickKurtz
Sale, Holmes, Iglesias, Ozuna were all trade assets for the Braves. The farm system needed to be reloaded and there’s no chance to do that now unless you did the unthinkable. Tough, tough spot. Some bad luck, but horrible mismanagement too
The Braves really sold their soul for that WS title a few years back. Strider is the only starting pitcher left and he’s had two TJs
I’m sorry, but Snitker doesn’t deserve to manage this team the second half of the season. He’s had a great career in the Braves organization, but these players are checked out mentally. Players always embody the spirit of their manager.
Money Mike is the only one on this Braves team doing anything. Everyone else has mailed it in. Snitker included.
Never seen two All Star caliber players diminish their trade value as much as Iglesias and Ozuna. Braves are in a terrible spot approaching the deadline
Wyatt Langford was so determined to not let Michael Harris get the cycle that he let him have a leadoff triple in a tie game
What should have been a cycle for Michael Harris if the Rangers LF wasn’t greedy. Unreal! Money Mike is a BALLER. What a game!
Money Freakin Mike! Double, Triple, Homer. Just a single away from the cycle. Baseball is the best!
Nick Kurtz was a "for-sure superstar" in high school si.com/high-school/te… Athletics' record-setting home run hitter helped Baylor of Chattanooga to a state title Tennessee and No. 8 national ranking in 2021 @BaylorBase coaches tell @PMacCoon of Chattanooga Times Free Press…
This is how close Kurtz came to the first five-homer game in MLB history tonight. I think the '1POINTFIVE' sign is for how many feet short of a homer that ball came.
Most extra-base hits in first 66 career games, at least last 125 seasons: Joe DiMaggio: 48 Nick Kurtz: 43 Ted Williams: 42 Bob Meusel: 42 Yordan Alvarez: 41 Ryan Braun: 41
Nick Kurtz ties Shawn Green for the most total bases in a single game in Major League Baseball history. 19. WOW! Put on a show, Nicky Nukes aka “Big Amish”
Nick Kurtz is doing something never seen before in MLB history. The 22-year-old rookie in his last 43 games: .352 AVG 22 HR 16 2B 53 RBIs 6-for-6, 6 R, 4 HR, 2B, 1B, 8 RBI tonight in one of the greatest offensive performances in the history of baseball.
They weren’t even trying to give him something he could hit. That is how great of a hitter Nick Kurtz is.
NICK KURTZ FIRST ROOKIE WITH 4 HR IN A GAME
NICK FREAKING KURTZ 6-for-6, 4 HRs, 2B, 8 RBIs. Best hitting performance I have ever seen in Major League Baseball history.
Nick Kurtz over his last 43 games .348 AVG 21 HR 16 2B 50 RBI This type of stretch has never been done before by a rookie.
Hitters with a higher OPS than Nick Kurtz (min. 250 PA): - Aaron Judge End of list.
Nick Kurtz is 7 for his last 8 with three doubles and two home runs!
