@PMDMKE
Horror fan.
I got pretty much exactly what I wanted from a 2025 version of I Know What You Did Last Summer. The movie and cast look great, it's extremely funny, and there are a few nice surprises to go with solid jump scares and kills. The bottom line is I had a good time at the theater.
Not seeing much talk about Revival on @SYFY. It is excellent and deserves more love. The central questions of why these folks rose from the dead, are they a threat, and how should they be treated are deftly explored and potently mixed with small town intrigue. Loving it so far.
There must be some mistake Dean Cain said if you go woke you go broke and he's never wrong. #SupermanMovie

I know it's silly to put much stock in ESPN's weekly baseball power rankings but the Brewers swept the Dodgers and dropped from 8th to 9th. That's dumb.
Enjoyed Talk to Me. Very strong debut. But didn't blow me away. Bring Her Back certainly did. Bummed it didn't find more of an audience upon release. Hope that changes. Along with Sinners, the best movie I've seen this year. Bleak, brutal, horrific, haunting. Loved it.
Haven't seen Kill Bill since it was in theaters, and with Michael Madsen passing it seemed like a good excuse to revisit them. Takes a damn long time to finally kill Bill. They have their moments, but really not a big fan of either one. Madsen is great though. RIP.
Michael Madsen used to have a website where fans could submit questions. I asked him if he thought holding his own with Pacino in Donnie Brasco would lead to a wider variety of roles. He said it was too late. By then he was only thought of as a bad guy.
I just showed my son Reservoir Dogs maybe two weeks ago. I rewatched Species and Species II within the last week. Michael Madsen has been one of my favorite actors since I was a teenager. Always thought he was underrated. RIP.
Fascinating conversation and I agree with much of what he says, but it's also pretty bleak. Can a $5 million original horror movie really not break out anymore? Are singles and doubles really not possible in the current marketplace? They all need to be event movies? I hope not.
"We all thought M3GAN was like Superman." This is an excellent, surprisingly honest post mortem interview with Jason Blum. You can't just celebrate your wins and not talk about your losses, which are equally valuable and worth dissecting. Great stuff here. Give it a listen.
Today just got a whole lot better. Beautiful cover. Let's dig in. @FANGORIA

Watched Sharp Corner after reading review by @mattzollerseitz. Easily one of the best movies I've seen this year. Ben Foster is, as usual, absolutely incredible. The way his character unravels is fascinating. A dark but really exceptional movie. Hope it finds an audience.
Reviews suggested a significant shift in SMOKE by the end of the second episode, and I feel dumb for not figuring it out sooner. It's fine (cast is stellar) until then but now I'm really interested in it and where things go. Definitely worth checking out.
MEGAN 2.0 is a classic case of more isn't always better. I liked a lot of it. It's often very funny, the Steven Seagal references are great, and there are some fun moments. But the pacing in the second half is atrocious and it drags on and on and on. Not terrible, just OK.
What's the perfect summer Christmas movie and why is it Jaws: The Revenge?

Strangers: Prey at Night is the best one. The Strangers is overrated and the hate Strangers: Chapter One received was over the top. Strangers: Chapter Two looks like a lot of fun and a step up from Chapter One. Love the Halloween 2-ish empty hospital.
The first two episodes of The Waterfront are extremely entertaining. Holt McCallany and Maria Bello. Brutal deaths in the opening minutes. A method of torture you don't see everyday that rules. So much melodrama. Can't wait to keep watching.
I've got an extra copy of the #Jaws50 Anniversary Edition 4K release, which includes the new documentary Jaws at 50: The Definitive Inside Story. Everyone (US only) who re-tweets this tweet will be entered to win, and I'll select a winner on 6/23!
In Minocqua for a baseball tournament and just passed a No Kings protest downtown. Impressive turnout considering the size of the town.
