College Baseball Ratings (and CFB) • Stats Don’t Lie - Teams Do • It’s PEAR Ratings
Thank you everyone for a great first year of PEAR. I appreciate every interaction and am still shocked people enjoy my hobby. I don't know how much I'll be around in the offseason, but I will post stuff if I find cool things. If you have any questions, always feel free to ask!
People renaming things will be the death of my code
NEW: The AAC has rebranded to the "American Conference" Dropping “Athletic” from its name, it added the American’s first-ever conference ambassador, “Soar the Eagle.” on3.com/news/no-longer…
is there anything stopping me from making a top 50? top 100? top 300?
I thought to myself, why not make an even bigger and more cluttered visual? And then I did it. There are six teams that only show up once in the top 25 - can you all six?
this is currently my stage of grief
Just opened up my football ratings code and it’s so disorganized. Someone tell 9 months ago PEAR that he needs to organize things better 🤦♂️ would’ve been smart to future-proof my stuff but no. I don’t do that here!

Will be immediately factored into the PEAR formula. #analytics
When it comes to ice cream, it just means more at MSU. #NationalIceCreamDay🍦

Commit News: Former Stanford RHP Joey Volchko has committed to Georgia.
The decline of Fullerton has been sad to see. They hosted 6 times and made the tournament all 8 years from 2008-2015. Since 2015, they've made the tournament only 4 times in 9 years and never hosted.
Now for the opposite - these teams are nearly automatic when hosting. Since 2008 with 5+ chances: 1. LSU (10/11) 2. Louisville (8/9) 3. South Carolina (6/7) 4. Florida St (11/13) T-5. A&M, Fullerton, Texas (5/6) Arizona St & Tennessee are a perfect 4/4, but not eligible.

Hosting a regional is great. Winning it? Optional for some. Since 2008, these teams have the worst win rates among teams with 5+ hosting chances (wins/chances): 1. Clemson (2/8) 2. Oklahoma St (2/7) 3. Rice (2/5) 4. Georgia (2/5) 5. Miami (4/8) Bonus - Georgia Tech is 0/4...
Anyone else having trouble connection to @WarrenNolan1? or did I get my IP address blocked 🤣
The SEC finishes three picks shy of a majority, but their plurality is enough to lead the way by a large margin. There’s a reason they’re the highest rated conference.
70 of the 105 players tonight went to college. SEC - 32 ACC - 13 Big12 - 6 Big10 - 6 SunBelt - 4 CUSA - 2 7 others - 1
The Nationals have their guy 😤 With the Number 1 pick in the 2025 #MLBDraft, the @Nationals select SS Eli Willits from Fort Cobb-Broxton (OK) High School.

Since 2008, 70 percent of national champions (12 of 17) have met this criteria. Teams in this group have historically reached Omaha at a 78 percent rate. This year, only 43 percent (3 of 7) did. A surge of upsets this year.
Here we go! A national champion could be crowned today. Since 2008, 11/16 National Champions had a Team Strength above 3.5 and a NET above 0.9. Both LSU and Coastal Carolina fit that criteria on Selection Monday.
Just an FYI: I can absolutely be bought. PEAR does what’s right… for itself. Delaware State crushing Arkansas? Sure, why not! TCU should’ve been the #1 overall seed? Absolutely! Want to see your team dominating your regional? I can do that!
You may ask "PEAR, why would make another one? I can't read anything on it!" To which I would say, because I can.
