@OzKaterji
Ukraine Correspondent. British-Lebanese conflict journalist based in Kyiv. Director of The Battle For Kyiv. Podcasting at @DrillPod & Host of @The_OK_Show.
I'm very pleased to announce that my debut feature documentary, The Battle For Kyiv, will be released on Apple TV, Amazon Prime & Google Play on June 6th 2025 in association with @BylineTV. Available in all territories and countries these platforms operate in except for Russia.
Also a reminder that Ukraine, unlike Russia, is a democracy with a strong civil society, despite all its problems. No such protests would be allowed for a second in Moscow.

If anyone still doubted that Gabbard is a bad actor, installed in her present job with the purpose of corrupting U.S. intelligence and turning it into a tool of Trump’s personal agendas and vendettas, her Russiagate report should put those doubts to rest. thebulwark.com/p/gabbard-garb…
Yesterday, people in various cities across Ukraine took to the streets to protest against the adoption of the law regarding the National Anti-Corruption Bureau. They demanded that the president veto it. But Zelensky signed. The law came into force at night.
Every time I write “Druze,” “Bedouins,” “Muslims,” or any sect, I want to scream. I never defined myself by the one I was born into. I believed in “the Syrian people are one.” Having to explain this now—because of sectarian violence—is painful and absurd. And I hate it.
Beware of those linked to the interim gov’t who only post about rights violations by Druze in Sweida. That’s called propaganda. If you care about human rights, mention the “individual incidents” by your own troops and the tribal militias you let march for miles.
Last night's episode of The Oz Katerji Show featuring @ajaltamimi is up now on YouTube. If you're interested in learning more about the violence in southern Syria and who the various factions responsible for it are, please do give it a listen: youtube.com/watch?v=1Yc6tK…
The circulated video showing a man in Sweida interrogated at gunpoint about his sect before being executed in cold blood underscores the alarming rise in sectarian tension in Syria. Ignoring it is no solution; it must be confronted head-on. #I_am_Syrian zamanalwsl.net/news/article/1…

RIP Ozzy Osbourne, one of the last great wreckheads of the 20th century.
The law is “bullshit” according to one of the viral organisers of the protest
I believe this is the first viral public call for an antigovernment protest in Kyiv since the start of Russia's full-scale war. And it's from a soldier: "Friends, let's gather for the action and defend what we've built over the last decade. We're meeting at 20:00 on the square…
Happening now: The largest protest of wartime Ukraine is underway in central Kyiv over President Zelensky’s push to dismantle the country’s independent anticorruption agencies. Thousands of protesters and more pouring in. Chants of “Shame!” among others. They demand Zelensky veto…
