Masked men leaping out of unmarked vehicles. Latino men taken from their places of work or while waiting for the bus. Street vendors tackled to the ground and forcefully held down. We collected videos of just over 100 incidents of raids in L.A. W/ Evident, @bellingcatofficial

After a week with the Galaxy Z Fold 7, I’m most impressed with the cameras and just how normal this phone feels when using the cover display. It feels like Samsung finally nailed the foldable form factor. My in-depth review: cnet.com/tech/mobile/i-… via @CNET
The same federal facility that detained Japanese Americans in 1942 is now the staging ground for immigration raids across LA. One San Pedro resident documents what he’s seen and why history feels like it’s repeating itself. lapublicpress.org/2025/07/what-i…
SCOOP: The manifests for three legally contested deportation flights to El Salvador contain the names of dozens of people who have not been acknowledged in any way by the US government. Experts following the case say they don't know where these people are 404media.co/flight-manifes…
I haven’t watched or needed White Lotus. I appreciate Severance and its admirable acting but I probably won’t bring it up in a couple years. I’ll be thinking and talking about Andor for decades.
still the show of the year.
Excited to vote for and support a Democrat Party that’s jettisoned utterly useless centrists only serving their corporate sponsors 🙂
Again, the fact that centrist Democrats are outright refusing to quit and endorse the nominee should really be a national story with seismic implications. It’s a stunning repudiation of everything they’ve said to discipline the left for years, a literal splitting of the party.
This was the start of my first 48 hours with the #galaxyzflip7 I accidentally performed my own informal drop test. I pulled the Z Flip 7 out of my pocket, I fumbled it and watched helplessly as it fell to the ground. #galaxyunpacked #samsung cnet.com/tech/mobile/i-…
Yep, the next Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip will be very very thin. Samsung confirmed it with CNET’s Abrar Al-Heeti cnet.com/tech/mobile/fe…

“The NY Times collaborated with a white nationalist eugenicist hacker and agreed to keep his identity a secret to publish a Mamdani hit piece” is a way bigger story than “18 year old Zohran ticked ‘African American’ on his Columbia application because he was a citizen of Uganda”.

it’s amazing how republicans main political platform is just wanting to kill people
Dark, dark day. Cowards and sycophants handed Trump a $140B budget for his secret police. Medicare shrunk, public lands opened to be sold off. Concentration camps are already being built. We’re not even six months in.
New: If Customs and Border Protection takes your phone at an airport/border, they can run it through tech that analyzes your texts, pictures, and social connections. Now, CBP says it wants to “expand” and modernize that tech. Link to story in the reply
We're proud to partner with @theintercept to bring attention to these atrocities against journalists funded and supported by two U.S. administrations. theintercept.com/2025/07/03/isr…
This bill would've been a good thing to do a record breaking filibuster about, for example
incredible that the republicans are going to absolutely destroy Medicaid and also build a fucking secret police and concentration camps and Dems as spending all of their time attacking zohran instead of doing anything about it
Extremely bleak to see the Xbox layoffs. After a good rollout of Xbox studio games this year, to have some estimates of 9,000 jobs deleted today is wretched. My heart’s out to those affected. Can’t imagine the passion to keep making games amid Managements doing record layoffs.
There will soon be a new army of secret police and you should not delude yourself that they will never turn their gaze towards you. hamiltonnolan.com/p/welcome-to-t…
