Yesterday, we finished reading Clockwork. Brilliant book, but this was the first year that the class have loved the story. What was different? All the children had their own copy of the book. Thank you @ANewChapterBks

Day 25. The children are clearly confident with routines and are starting to get sloppy. Time to remind them of expectations and insist on getting it right every time.
Day 21 with my class. Just as I was feeling comfortable with them, the lesson crashed. Designing a classification key 🙈 Oh my, they found it hard. Definitely needed more modelling. Ah, a learning experience for me. Tomorrow is a new day.
Opened my school laptop this morning to discover it was dead. Swapped the charger in case it had failed but no joy. It will be a month before our IT support will be in school. It's going to be a long month :(
Cursing past me, who thought it would be a good idea to host a dinner party for 10 the weekend before we return to school. At least the house has been cleaned 🤷🏻♀️

Day 2 with no gas supply in the house. No heating, hot water or cooking facilities. The meter is broken. Account is in partner's name, so provider won't speak to me. Said partner is working away. It's going to be a long week. 🥶
